About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“willys cj-3A jeep, i believe its a 50 or 51, lots of original parts, ran when it was parked some years ago, oil in crankcase is clean, body is rough. no title. has winch on the front.
just dont have the time to restore it. ”
Based on the pics, I”m not seeing a $40k jeep. Nice looking jeep.
“registered as 1950 ford, but is actually a early 1940’s. It has been painstakingly rebuilt from the body up by owner. Updated axles, transmission and engine. To many upgrades to list, but will answer any questions when you call.
Asking $40,000 since I currently have 50,000 invested! Less than 1,000 miles since completion of rebuild. Please contact me if you have any questions or would like any further information!”
Titled as a ’46, this looks more like a CJ-3A to me.
“Time to thin out my herd of toys. Titled as a 1946 but has a later Fhead engine, later windshield frame so who knows. The engine sounds pretty good, the gas is really old so stinks a little smoke, newer exhaust, new plugs, wires, filters, oil change etc. Has nealry brand new BFG ATKO tires, no rust, has good brakes, has a Saginaw steering box, runs and drives well but needs some “tinkering” Would be a good hunting Jeep. restore or leave as is.”
“Selling my CJ3A project. It is coming down the home stretch for completion but my interests have changed. It is listed as a 1951 but there is hardly any of the original parts left on it. Below is the list of modifications made to improve it’s abilities. The goal was to make this a trail ready Jeep for weekends. It runs and drives well.
-Front and Rear Dana 44s (like a Rubicon)-both completely rebuilt, front has disc brakes
-4.88 gears with Detroit Locker/TruTrack
-Engine is Buick 4.1L Even Fire w. a 4 barrel Quadrajet carb
-Transmission is a TH350 w. Advanced Adapter to mount the original D18 transfer case
-B & M Shifter
-Full Pre-Bent DOM Roll Cage (http://extremecustomparts.com/i-6292281-cj-willys-jeep-full-roll-cage-kit-cj2-cj2a-free-shipping.html)
-Power Steering Conversion
-Rear mounted gas tank from a postal Jeep, to get it out of the cab
-Suspension is Rubicon Express 2.5″ Wrangler Leaf springs(longer and wider than stock, better ride)
-Fiberglass Body = No Rust
-Has a new NOS BestTop Tiger Top
-35″ Super Swamper Truxxus M/T tires (like new) on alloy wheels
What it needs:
-The roll cage needs to be finished. It is prebent, just needs welding.
-The electrical harness is out of 60s CJ5. The taillights and turn signals (included) need to be connected.
-Paint it the color of your choice.
Looking for $6800 or interesting diesel/crew cab trades.”
“1950 willys jeep cj3a , ford 260 v8 , stock trans and transfercase , power steering , runs good , clean title , current registration , needs a little work”
(06/30/2014) I’m guessing that’s a replacement military tub.
“Time to sell one of our toys that doesn’t get played with as much as it should. She is a lot of fun! 1949 Willys Jeep CJ-3A Modified Mileage: 19,075 350 Chevy Engine 4 Barrel Quadrajet carburetor on aluminum intake manifold BeCool aluminum radiator Optimia Redtop Battery Dana 30 front axle with disc brakes Dana 44 rear axle with drum brakes Dana 30 transfer case Borg Warner T18 4-speed New tires & wheels New brake rotors, calipers, drums, wheels cylinders and master cylinder LED rear brake and turn signals”
“I have a running driving Willy’s CJ3-A for sale. Original engine and drive train. 4X4 and transmission work well. Needs some work. Tub has lots of rust. No apparent fluid leaks. Would make for a great restore project or good working parts for another. I’m asking $1800 obo. I am interested in trades as well. I have another jeep project that I need parts and dollars for. If interested, call me and make an offer or let me know what you have to trade. ”
It’s a package deal. Seems to me there are two complete CJ-2As, one complete CJ-3A and a parts CJ-3A.
“Four Willys Jeeps in various condition. All are titled. These Jeeps are getting more and more difficult to find and truly classic!
Will not part out and will not sell them one at a time. This is a package deal, take them all for $10,000.
Great way to build three extraordinary runners and have a fourth body and chassis for a miscellaneous project. Flat fours with three speed transmissions. Substantially original for the most part. 1949 is set up as full time 4WD.
Bring your trailers! Serious inquiries only. No third parties. Local sale only, will not ship.”
“1953 willys jeep. It runs and drives. It’s a 3 speed manual transmission. Four wheel drive and a 8000 pound pto winch. It will climb anything and everything. It’s a great little jeep and will make someone a very fun toy to play with.”
