Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Must sell now! New floor boards, Has a Ford 2300 pinto engine that runs great, Brand new 11″ brakes, Brand new exhaust, Brand new clutch, Brand new starter, New rear main crankshaft seal. Nice chrome wheels, Good clean title! But overall in pretty good condition. Has Wa. Collectors license plate. Moving forces sale! I have over $3500.00 in this great Jeep! (10/02/2014) Looks in good shape. I think this includes a CJ-5.
“1948 jeep restored about 10 years ago. One of the nicest around and made so a bigger guy can drive it. Turns on a dime. Too nice for the hills. But made to go hunting if that’s what you want. Nice comfortable high back seats make for comfortable ride. and has a S 10 tire rack on the back. Bikini top as well as a full soft top. Radio needs to be reinstalled. No biggy there. Drives smooth with 1200 dollars worth of wheels. And matching spare. $8500. It is one of the nicest CJ3A’s around. You won’t find one this nice for this price. And no diamond plate so no rust has been cover up. Heater fan does need to be reversed. Price is firm. Has sat for over a year. Has roll bar and is gun metal grey. I just don’t drive it or the 55 CJ5 with a snow plow so both need to go. Both have 4 cyl. engines.”

(03/22/2016) Looks solid. Serial number of 61162 suggests it is late 1950 and not 1953.
“I am selling my 1953 Willys CJ3A Jeep. This project has been extensively and thoroughly rebuilt and is in excellent mechanical condition. Road worthy and ready for summer driving. this is a fun vintage Jeep….own a cool piece of automotive history.
highlights of work performed includes:
-converted to 12v system w/ new alternator, battery, and wiring
-all new brake system – hard/soft lines, all axle parts, etc
-all new steering system – rebuilt column, new wheel, all tie rods, etc
-all new fuel system – tank, lines, carb, etc
-new wheels & BFG mud tires
-all new lighting – turn signals added for road driving
-new upholstery – new pans, foam, & vintage style olive drab canvas
-trans and transfer case rebuilt

“Great Jeep. Rebuilt motor with original flat head 4 cylinder. Last year they made it. Compression 120,120,110,120. Carburetor has just been rebuilt. New spark plugs, new gas tank, new high torque starter. All lights work. headlights, blinkers, brake lights, backup light, spot light and dark light, instrument panel, all lights work. 4 speed. Does come with roll bar not on it now. Does have clean title. Maybe trades. ”
