Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. The engine/tranny/tc is not included at the $2100 price. Former Fire Jeep. Anyone recognize the winch?
“1952 CJ3A flat fender rolling chassis, selling separately with no engine, no transmission, no transfer case or bundled with all the major components I have been saving for this build.
I am asking $2,100.00 for the rolling chassis alone or $3,600.00 for all, the chassis, a fresh rebuilt 225 odd fire v-6 from a 66 CJ5, a brand new old stock SM420 transmission, a brand new old stock dana transfer case, and other misc. parts including a new heater, twin shifters that allow 2 wheel low range, V6 motor mount kit, and a 10 gallon frame mount stainless steel gas tank.
This old Willy’s jeep is super clean with practically no rust and believed to have been owned by the Auburn Fire dept. at one time, it has special Ca. plate with license # “FLAT 52″. Clean title currently on Non-op.”

“UP FOR SALE…..$2200 OBO (CASH)……Believed to be a CJ-3A Jeep, according to the vehicle tag under the hood…..other numbers on this tag hard to read…..Head Gasket has been replaced, head was ok, and it starts right up within a couple of turns of the motor……not bad for something this old…..and a 6-Volt system, as most all were from this era……will start and drive, but needs brakes, and a lot of TLC……pics tell the story…..would need to be restored, but not a total basket case…..tool box under seat has some/most of the tools that were included……call or text only as I have my friend posting this for me, because I don’t have internet at my home…….4 zero 6, 4 nine 8, nine 4 eight five, 9a-10p, 7 days…..will need to file the needed paperwork to obtain a title……CASH TALKS, B.S. equals no sale…..NO LOW BALLERS….and it’s not missing much either…thanks for looking….”

This has a wide brimmed fiberglass body, but doesn’t appear to be a bobcat or parkette body.

I pulled this out of a back yard it in Duarte Ca. it was there father has not been driven or running for years missing parts on motor and it is stuck, All drivetrain appears original the right front hub is locked up and there is NO rim, frame is solid FiberGlass body is nice and thick and strong, seat frames have rust so does the windshield frame on lower section . SELLING AS IS WITH BOTH BLUE PLATES AND BILL OF SALE ONLY THIS IS OUT OF THE SYSTEM, I was informed it has been parked since the 1980’s.”

Listed as a 1942, it’s looks to be a 2A, but could be a 3A.
“Primer white. Some surface rust. Need full restoration. Engine is NOT seized. Oil was put in the cylinders when it was parked. Clear blue title.”
