Looks perfect for cruising the local metal sculptures.
“1948 all original Willys, Straight body fresh paint, has a flat head 4 runs great. $5,000 or Best offer. CASH ONLY”
Unusual rear cargo setup.
“This is an all original stock civilian Jeep except for the electric fuel pump that has been installed.
All lights, instruments, horn works. Engine is very strong, does not burn oil. Runs rough while warming up but smooths out in five minutes. It has a small oil leak on the engine rear seal.
The only things that don’t work are the emergency brake and the drivers side vacuume driven windshield wiper because it was run off the original fuel / vacuume pump. Original fuel pump is still on the engine but needs to be replaced.
It has three fuel tanks, two under the seats and one in the rear.
It drives great and is a lot of fun with two speed transfer case to crawl around in low range.
Odometer says 11,000 miles but is probably 111,000.
Someone took good care of this Jeep. It was stored inside a shop when I bought it.
You can get historic licence plates for a one time fee of $10 that never need to be renewed.
Call or email if you have any questions.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2500.
Not running at the moment.
“1951 Jeep Willys, purchased by my father three years ago. It was running just over two years ago before he passed, and has been sitting since. As far as I know, it’s not running now (although I wouldn’t know how to get it running anyway). It was a project in process.
We know nothing about it other than what we paid for it, and what it was worth to him. He was a jeeping enthusiast who belonged to many local 4wd clubs, and would not have wanted it if it were junk. His intent was to refurbish it and use it as a mild wheeler and for special interest meets. As I said, he was driving it just over two years ago. If you’re a SERIOUS enthusiast and buyer (as he was), you are welcome to come take a look.
NO TIRE KICKERS. No trades.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was Make Offer.
The 2A appears to be a VEC, but it looks more like a ’46.
“1945 & 53 Willy’s Jeeps For Sale / B.O. for both. (No splitting them up).
1945 is the one with the top/plow and is pretty much complete. The other is the 53, this one is pretty much a parts unit. Both Jeep’s need lots of work, but if you’re a Jeep fanatic they are diamonds in the ruff. Both are extremely hard to find, so no lowballing. . . ”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $1300.
This includes a PTO. This could be a good resto project.
