About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
(10/04/2013) This CJ-3A has the same fiberglass seats as Biscuit.

Bill Dedo contacted me yesterday. He’s hoping to track down a 1949 CJ-3A of his that his mother sold years ago. He has learned it might be a restoration project in Alta, California. If you happened to have any leads, add a comment to this post.
The engine turns over, but isn’t running at the moment.
“I have a 1949 CJ3A With a new clear Title Its been sitting in a shed since the late 80’s. I purchased this with the thought of a restoration however I’m starting to think I’ll never be that interested in it. Its a Numbers Matching CJ Original Willy’s-Overland L-134″Go Devil”4-cylinder iron block T-90 transmission and Dana 18 transfer case, a Dana 25 front axle and Dana 41 rear axle. The frame and drive train are solid Body on the other hand needs work. Everything is there someone fixed all body sheet metal once from the Fire wall back looks like it was made out of 14 gage its heavy with no holes but will need completely replaced if your doing a restoration. Windshield frame is rusted up with some holes came with a hard top and doors also in bad shape but the right person could fix. Has CJ5 Seats and someone along the line cut a hole in the hood for a vent or something. I’ll be honest for a 1949 that was well used its not that bad. Its painted olive drab but looks as if it may have been red from the factory. drive train turns and everything shifts engine turns and from prior owner says it was running like a top when he parked it. I’m not sure if he is even still alive. I’m asking 1200 for everything this would break me even. If your looking for a nice project this is it. Only serious inquiries. I don’t have allot of time to screw around with showing this to everyone and their brother.”
There’s been a few changes, but it still has the floor starter.

Bought from ranch in Nevada six years ago. Runs well. Would be a great Jeep for total restoration because so much is original inside. Body has some rust and bondo cracks but it is a great old Jeep that turns heads. Hate to get rid of it but having another baby. Clear CA Title and Reg

“1951 Willy’s CJ3A, 134 motor, T90 transmission, spicer transfer case
I’m selling or possibly trading my ’51 Willy’s Jeep. This has been a great little jeep for the past 6 years. It runs great and is alot of fun.”
“I have a 1949 Jeep willy. It was a rebuild project that was given to me a few years ago and I have gotten pretty far but I don’t have the time to finish, and I need to get it out of the garage.
The Chase I sand blasted and Painted with POR15. It is in excellent condition.
The Engine is the original 4 cylinder, I did a complete rebuild and paint job. The two of the cylinder walls were a little rough, and she is a little smoky when running, but runs well.
The transmission I didn’t do much, new clutch, pilot bearing, and paint job.
The body was the tough part. I replaced the floor board, and tool box (under passenger seat). I went around and cut out all the rust and replaced it with fresh steal. I started the bondo and sanding process but I am out of time.
I know $3000 is a lot to ask for a rebuild project, Im hoping to breaking even. Make me an offer.”
Interesting carrier on the front bumper. Looks solid.
“1953 Willys Jeep CJ3A. Really nice condition. Mostly stock with various upgrades. 12 volt converted, new gages, new locking hubs, new marker and headlights, etc. Original 4 cyl flathead engine runs fine. Got to see this to appreciate it. $6750 (you can’t buy a new quad for that). More than twice that put into it. Call, email, or text Dennis at 505-273-zero-two-four-4. No scams.”
(11/27/2013) Now disassembled. Includes overdrive.
“52 CJ3A Jeep Have new fenders for it, other new parts. Normal rust. Ran when parked many many years ago, engine turns. Overdrive & locking hubs, roll bar.
