About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“1951 Willy’s CJ3A, 134 motor, T90 transmission, spicer transfer case
I’m selling or possibly trading my ’51 Willy’s Jeep. This has been a great little jeep for the past 6 years. It runs great and is alot of fun.”
“I have a 1949 Jeep willy. It was a rebuild project that was given to me a few years ago and I have gotten pretty far but I don’t have the time to finish, and I need to get it out of the garage.
The Chase I sand blasted and Painted with POR15. It is in excellent condition.
The Engine is the original 4 cylinder, I did a complete rebuild and paint job. The two of the cylinder walls were a little rough, and she is a little smoky when running, but runs well.
The transmission I didn’t do much, new clutch, pilot bearing, and paint job.
The body was the tough part. I replaced the floor board, and tool box (under passenger seat). I went around and cut out all the rust and replaced it with fresh steal. I started the bondo and sanding process but I am out of time.
I know $3000 is a lot to ask for a rebuild project, Im hoping to breaking even. Make me an offer.”
Interesting carrier on the front bumper. Looks solid.
“1953 Willys Jeep CJ3A. Really nice condition. Mostly stock with various upgrades. 12 volt converted, new gages, new locking hubs, new marker and headlights, etc. Original 4 cyl flathead engine runs fine. Got to see this to appreciate it. $6750 (you can’t buy a new quad for that). More than twice that put into it. Call, email, or text Dennis at 505-273-zero-two-four-4. No scams.”
(11/27/2013) Now disassembled. Includes overdrive.

Tub, fenders, grill, tailgate, roll bar, are in stainless steel…….the Willys features a 1957 Chevrolet 283 V8, turbo 350 transmission, Toyota transfer case, dana 44 reverse rearend, 373 gears, tilt steering, P.S., P.B.,…..With less than 3000 miles on the drivetrain, it has never been off road, just shown a few times at local car shows. Goodguys Pick/Award winner …..an incredible amount of hours and money went into this build. I have it priced well below investment. SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY! $29,500”
“1951 Jeep Willys CJ3A 4×4, have the original title. The original flathead motor was replaced with a F head motor and it does need maines and an insert bearing. Were asking $1000, if interested please email, thanks!”
The rollbar looks like it has been installed backwards.
“Well cared for 1952 Willys Jeep, $7,500.
4 cylinder, 4 wheel drive
New fuel system
Less than 150 miles on the tires
Includes extra parts, both new and used parts.”
(11/03/2013) Sean saw this one in person. I agree that there isn’t much CJ-V35U left. He wrote, “It is in good shape overall except the fuel tank had rusted out. Not much makes it a v35/u in terms of specialized parts. The seller is selling it for the widow of friend and her kids have ridiculous expectations on the price. So right now he cant talk her down below 8k.”
