Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Willys jeep 3a. Sits on a 1945 ford frame. Motor is a 231 odd fire and the transmission is a sm420 which may be hard to shift but has one hell of a granny low. The jeep is locked front and back with a 44 in the rear and a 30 in the front. The jeep now sits on a new set of 33″ tires not the 36″ tires that most of the pictures show. The price is $5000 or best offer but I will make a trade for a notchback mustang or a two wheel drive single cab Chevy 1500”

(02/26/2015) I think this has a replacement body with an early CJ-2A grille. Looks like a solid rig.
“I’m selling my 1949 Willys jeep, 9,000 miles on rebuilt. Tera low kit in transfer case. Winch with remote. Warn overdrive. Air locker on rear end. Power steering. New wheels with spare tire. ETC. This runs. It is listed as a 1946, but looks like a 1948 Lefty to me.
