About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
(05/07/2013) I never thought I’d seen another pair of folding chair seats in a jeep. Here’s the last set we saw.
“1951 Willys CJ3A. Clear title. Runs and drives, but needs work like they all do. all original running gear. Don’t really want to sell it. would rather trade it for an old Ford pickup. 1969 or older. Must be a driver. No junk.”
“Jeep restoration project of a Jeep CJ3A – to the best of my research. Sold “as-is”. Can help deliver if within 100mi of Hinesburg. Please include the word “restoration” in the reply or your email will not be answered. Email any questions. Thanks.”
“Late 40s early 50s m38/ cj3a jeep. Very solid older repro tub. Runs great. Almost no rust at all. Rebuilt carb. Has about a two inch lift. Front seats are very good. Includes a complete pro winch that just needs drive shaft installed. Has a vintage kayline spare tire carrier. Has a mass title. Does not include rims and tires in the picture or the back seat. It will come with the original 16 inch rims and tires.”
“1952 CJ3a (from Washington State) with 289v8, headers, 3spd with warn Od, ps, locking hubs, 8k warn winch, tow bar, new top, roll bar, new bucket seats, 2 gas tanks, swing out spare, electric wipers, 10″brakes, recored radiator, titled.”
Those are some large turn signals in the front. I can’t tell what’s on top of the windshield.
“1950 Willy’s Jeep CJ3A 4×4: Very hard to find with dual fueling sides: You can feul up either on the driver side or passenger side:
Color is Red with a white soft top, has full soft top doors, needs new window vinyl
Motor: Chevy 283 small block
Orignial running gears, transmission, and rear end
Has 4×4 high and low
Lots of mods have been done to the Jeep.
It was rebuilt in the 70’s, so it has impala red seats, tool box under back seat. This thing was built for the desert or the chocolate mountains.
Brand new off tires: 31 on old school jackmen rims
Runs and Drives: Needs a little brake work to finish project up. Over all great desert Jeep, you would be the talk of your Jeep Club driving this beauty around.”
“Selling my Willys cj3a jeep. Runs good brakes need work body is rusty. 4×4 works with high and low. Has been sitting for a while and now won’t go into 3rd gear. Motor fires rite up does not smoke. Have title. 402-841-1931”
“1949 Willys CJ3A this rig has a lot of work done to it. It has a Ford SB 302 CID V8, rebuilt carburetor, new starter and alternator, power steering, electric fan and fuel pump, points converted distributor, relocated oil filter, custom headers, Flowmaster mufflers. The drive line is setup very nice T90 3 speed transmition(new clutch), T18 transfer case, Warn Saturn overdrive so it has 12 forward and 4 reverse gears, New U joints, Dane 25 front axle, offset Dana 44 rear axle with a locker. New 35x 12.50 15 BF Goodwrench KM2 on black spoke steel wheels. It has been lifted with 2.5in Rancho leaf springs and a spring over conversion. New fuel cell and gages, 8000lbs winch, two fuel cans and mounts. I have a few extra parts that I just haven’t had the time to install yet. So as you can see this is a very capable trail rig. Just about all the custom work on this was done or redone correctly by me. Asking $3000 OBO. If you have any questions please ask.”
