About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
(12/26/2011) At some point this needed a rear seal. Unclear if it still does. This has the aftermarket angled dash I’ve only seen in some customized california jeeps.
“1953 willys cj 3a has a ford 4 cylinder and power steering, blazer bucket seats, fuel cell…………..need to sell make an offer……$2,500 obo!!! make an offer, need to sell!!!!! “
The body appears to be a little rough, but hard to tell just how much given the paint job.
“The jeep has a 350chevy motor! Runs great! Four wheel drive, original runing gears has 15″ mudders! 3000.00 or best offer. Jeep is an awesome hill climber and would be great for any hunter! Welcome to come by an check it out! ”
I’m guessing it has been a while since this won trophies. Looks like it might have been nice at one time though.
“350ci built Chevy engine. Fulie heads, Edelbrock torker, Holley, fender well headers, Turbo 350, custom Dana 44’s front and rear with 4.27:1 gears. Posi front and rear. Full cage, Deist 5 point harnesses, dual batteries, Ground Hawg tires. Has won many trophies for show. Very fast! Unbeaten off-road.
Now the bad news: the jeep has been siting for several years. Has rust, and occasional glitch in the transfer case (jumps out of gear once in awhile.) I think it is a linkage adjustment problem. Transfer case was rebuilt approx. 50 miles ago. With some TLC, this jeep could be one of the best in the State, as it was 20 years ago. If you are mechanically inclined, and are looking for an awesome project, this may be for you! I have over $20K in this machine. Now it just sits in the yard. Asking $3,800. Would consider trade for small pickup truck.

“Koenig metal half cab: New glass and channels in back and both doors. Door windows roll up and down, All handles work properly. Excellant condition. For willys – cj2a, cj3a, cj3b. Koenig model – standard half cab 335. Weight, 235 lbs. see pics. (please excuse pics., hard to stage cab free standing) 530 547 4520”
The seller lists this as a 2A, but looks to me to be a 3A. This looks like an excellent project for the price.
“I have a 1949 Willys Jeep available for sale. It runs, but the fuel pump needs to be rebuilt (we were able to confirm that the engine is good by delivering gas straight into the carburetor). It also currently does not have brakes, although I have a brand new master cylinder and brand new wheel cylinders to go with it–these parts just need to be installed. It comes with a snowplow, but the hydraulic system for it needs to be overhauled. My grandfather found the Jeep in a salvage yard a number of years back and brought it back to life so that he could use it to haul wood around on our family farm. However, he passed away several years ago and the Jeep hasn’t been used much since then. This is a good project Jeep–everything is there; it just needs some work to get it back into good condition, and we don’t have the time to put into it. We will be demolishing the farmhouse and garage where it is currently being stored, so we’re forced to get rid of it. Other issues I can see with the vehicle: the windshield is cracked, the cooling system probably needs to be flushed, and the interior needs reupholstering.”
(07/26/2011) This may be a solid jeep for the price.
“i have a 1953 willys jeep that is in really good shape, have a rebuilt willys engine. 3 speed transmission and four wheel drive works great.. i am asking 3000 but might consider trading it for a nice bumper pull camper or a nice ski boat with open bow..and must be water ready…thank for looking.”
This looks like a nice CJ. Note that the drain holes are no longer present.
