This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Up for sale is a 1949 willys. The motor is a good running 225 buick v6 but will need a water pump as the existing one leaks. The drivetrain including the trans, transfer, and diffs are original. The body is in fair shape for the age, showing some rust in the usual areas but easily fixable. Fenders are solid, having some filler but no rust what so ever just rough bodywork. Has new starter installed and many other brand new parts as well as used that come with it. It’s a good base for a project but I decided to go with a Landcruiser instead. This brochure that Marc found shows the CJ-3A employed in a variety of jobs. The use of the triangle in the illustration is interesting.
“This listing is for a vintage advertisement. It is an ad for Willys Overland Motors of Toledo Ohio and their universal Jeeps. The ad folds out like a small poster. There is a dealer address stamp on it. I am not positive but I believe this advertisement is from the 1930’s. It is filled with information and pictures from that time frame. It is roughly 17″ x 11″ when it is unfolded.”

“I am selling my project Jeep, we are moving Wednesday and it needs to go. Currently it is torn apart as I was re-finishing the frame. It needs some work, but it is a rare bird. It does not have a powertrain, or seats. Even if you just buy it and take sell it off seperatley as parts you will make money. I would, but I can’t move it and don’t have time to sell it. I am asking 400obo, or I would also take a trade for something that goes boom.”

“Stock 51 willys . Only changed replaced motor f-head (some time in its life) . Had the starter rebuilt . Put rims and tires on 31×12.5×15 , 5×5 bolt pattern .
It has not seen the road for 12 years .
Painted it . Had the seats done . Drained the fluids . Cleaned , pans and diff coves (back on) . Motor needs rubber . And finish wiring .

“1957 willys jeep 4×4. Awesome piece of history. These things were built well. Made to military standards. Motor has been rebuilt and runs great. Trans shifts good. 4×4 hi and low works well. This would be a cool jeep for a swap or restore project or drive it as is.
Interested in a good tig welder. 4×4 rigs. 4×4 four wheelers or anything of real value that interests me. Just ask.”
