UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
This might make a good restoration. It looks like the body has been patched a bit.
“n 1950 the USMC ordered only 1000 of these jeeps. This jeep was designed to run submerged for 15 minutes. The serial # ran from 10,000 to 11,000 and this jeep is # 410. My research has this jeep being one of only 29 ever found. The motor is original to the jeep and runs by feeding it fuel. This CJV35/U has one of only 3 original distributors left. The distributor alone has been valued at $3000.00. This jeep still has the original 6 volt generator, starter and voltage regulator. It also still has the positive ventilation valves, waterproof headlights, and the 6 volt ignition switch. The radios are gone! The 12volt generator for the radios is gone! The hold down loops for the front and rear are still there. The hood is original and still has the 4 hood hold downs and the original USMC bumper #.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4500.
This still needs some work. The brakes aren’t quite ‘right’.

Has the original flat head motor rebuilt. 3 speed 4×4 standard transmission . This jeep is ready to drive. There are a couple things, needs to be painted if you want. There is not a back seat. The brakes have all been replaced, rotors, pads, lines, springs, but for some reason i cant get them right.??? Tires are brand new i put them on basically to roll around to repair, Would suggest getting some type of mud tire. Other than that this thing is ready to have fun with. If you are looking for something to tear down and put a 350 engine and transmission in, this jeep is not for you.”

(03/14/2013) This may be a good price if the suspension was modified to crazily.

Nate’s simple reasoning for installing two carbs on his L-Head (I had two YF carbs and plenty of time) belies his good understanding of how why the carbs add more power (see his explanation in the thread comments). As usual, very nice work Nate!
Lots of mods on this crawler.
“I have for sale or possible trade is a 1950 willys jeep rock crawler or muddier. YES I HAVE A TITLE. This thing is fully built with new 35in super swampers. Fronts are factory cut the rear are cut to clear mud faster. It has twin stick transfer. I just put 500 in new parts as in battery brake calipers, new nuts for spindles and new front brake pads. Plus all the new Gage’s and switches. This is fully caged all the way to frame. Geared very low low enough you can walk next to it. It has a 318 with auto trans there is no 1st gear in trans but you don’t need it at all with the gearing it has racing seats and 2sets of seat covers. Much much more. Asking 6500. That’s jeep look for a built buggy like this they’re going for 9000 and up. Call or txt 812/604/4845. The rear is air controlled as in height wise. It’s alot of fun.”
