These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. The front seems to stick up a little high.
“1952 Willys Jeep. New electronic fuel pump, new carburetor, new electronic ignition. Original motor runs good, good transmission and clutch, new master cylinder for brakes front and rear, new ignition switch, all new hoses and belts, new spark plug wire set, ignition coil, new battery. Needs some body work, new seats, new tires and the frame is slightly bent.”

The engine cranks over . . . Does that mean it cranks, but doesn’t run?
“1952 Willys Jeep, 4 cylinder engine, engine does crank over, good condition for its age, 4wd works, manual transmission, will need tires, clear title.”

(02/21/2012) Switched to F head motor.
“For sale is a 1951 Willys CJ3A. 4×4 works great. 134 cubic inch overhead valve engine runs good. This Jeep would originally have had the 134 flathead, but a previous owner did the swap. The Jeep still has the low hood however, so the previous owner’s solution was to hole-saw an opening in the hood to allow the air cleaner to stick through. Not the most elegant solution, but it works. This Jeep starts right up and runs and drives great! Rebuilt carb, rebuilt starter, electric fuel pump. The drivetrain is in good condition…Dana 25 or 27 up front, Dana 44 rear and 3-speed trans (T-84?) w/Dana 18 twin stick transfer case. Good seats. Rollbar. Towbar. Towhitch. Five Jackman white spoke wheels with good Big-O snow tires. Brakes fair. Decent, presentable body with new floor on driver’s side. New fuel tank. All lights work, wipers work, amp & temp gages work except speedo…needs cable. Nice vintage Jeep at a fair price. Jeep is located in Pahrump, NV 60 mi outside of Las Vegas. Clean NV title. ”

“49 willys cj3a.. first year for this jeep. #762 off the line. all original. all parts are there. windshield assembly with glass ..3 speed transmission ( add fluid and use)… flat 4 “go devil” engine which had been rebuilt less than 5 years ago ..m38 tailgate..radiator.. floorboards are rusted through and obvious surface rust covers vehicle.buy definitely saveable I can send detailed pics to your phone or email .”

“1946 Willy’s Jeep V-35/U 23,000 original miles. Disasembled, sand blasted and primed ready to assemble. Minimum surface rust, no structural frame or body rust. Includes all orignal dash placks. Includes tow and roll bar. New seat covers, full cab enclosure, doors and plastic windows. After market wheels. New gas tank and radiator. Great jeep!”
