Nick spotted what appears to be a very original CJ-3A. This may be a very unique find.
“This jeep has been in our family since 1951! It is a Willys (civilian) and has NOT been modified. Color is dark green with a custom vinyl white top, doors, seats and back window coverings. The battery is new. Includes trickle charger. The tires are original. Second brake light added. All parts are available. Mileage: 27,117.9 – towed for hunting and fishing expeditions, some road miles.”

(11/06/2012) Looks like a capable jeeping jeep.
“For sale is a 1952 Willy’s CJ 2A Flatfender jeep 4×4. This jeep has been great to our family but we have outgrown it and it no longer gets used. Great hunting rig or beach cruiser. Handles wonderfully in the snow and ice.
Ford 289 V8 Engine runs incredibly strong. Does not smoke.
Ford top loader three speed with synchronized first gear
Spicer 44 rearend 538 gears
Spicer 25 front end 538 gears
Warn Overdrive, will crawl in low low and do 65 on the freeway no problem in high range.

Lots of new parts.
“This jeep has been completely restored with all new parts including a brand new all metal body kit with new fenders, engine hood and tailgate. Engine rebuilt with all new internal parts to a STD. condition. Transmission and transfer case rebuilt with new gears and bearings all around. Front and rear axles rebuilt also with new parts. Completely new brake system, modified to 11″ drums. All new electrical system modified for 12 V alternator system.
Oil filter modified to the modern spin-on type. New Clutch and rebuilt drive shafts. New wide wheel rims with new tires. Windshield wipers replaced with new original new parts. Top made specially to copied of the original design using high quality materials.
This jeep is equipped with a Borg-Warner Overdrive transmission that allows it to go faster on 3rd gear with less engine RPM providing a better fuel economy on the road.
Front axles also equipped with new WARN Lock-o-Matic Hubs.
