(05/24/2010) This appears in good shape.  I suspect the body is a repro body.

“I am selling my 1949 CJ3A. It has a Buick 231 V-6, Warren overdrive, rebuilt T-18 transmission, NDT tires, power steering, and 11” brakes. It has a military grade canvas top (as shown; no full top).

Items that have been replaced within the last few years:
Brakes (including shoes hardware and wheel cylinders)
E-brake handle and cables
Clutch
Water pump
Steering column
Shocks
Flywheel
Bikini top
Motor mounts
Battery
Electronic ignition/ distributor
Most of the wiring and lights
Fuel pump
Fuel tank (RCI racing cell)
Tires (5 NDT military)
Carb (2bbl)
Hoses
Horn
Timing chain set
Additionally, it has new custom exhaust (really nice not some hack job).I have a lot of fun with this Willy’s and it runs/ drives well. For those not familiar with these old jeeps, they are very capable on the trail and are great to run around town. They are not equipped to drive on the freeway as they are geared very low (5:38 pinion gears).Like most vehicles of this age, it is not perfect. It has minor oil leaks and is one of my ongoing projects.

Maybe this is part DJ?  The bottom piece of the front of the windshield looks like it has ripples, which is unusual.

There seems to be some value here, but plenty of rust, too.

“This is a 1952 Jeep cj3a that has sat for a couple of years. Started the jeep in the last few days and it seem to run fairly well then the starter quit working. It has the original flathead four cylinder. It has been updated to 12 volt. The brakes are not working. Have title. There’s some value, but hard to tell just how much work is done.

“Willys jeep(( no title)) with Buick 225 V6 , T190 Trans, fiberglass body,aluminum wheels,headers,6 point roll cage, Painless wiring panel, tow bar and engine (low mileage) with aluminum intake. Frame and new fiber glass body are undercoated inside and out Tub is painted “Swift red” while the front end (not pictured but in excellent shape) needs painted. I no longer have time for this project and would like to see it go to an ambitious person. The body consisting of tub, fenders, grille, hood, and windshield are well worth the asking price of the complete vehicle. 2000 Neg.
