Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “I have a 1960 Willys CJ3 with working 4×4, working wench and remote with about 6 feet of cable, has a stereo and a bikini top. The paint has been redone last year it is camoflauge with a clear coat, good looking jeep. Makes an excellent off road vehicle, I have yet to go anywhere that it hasn’t gotten me through, would be a great deer lease or ranch vehicle. It has antique tags good thru Feb 2013. The windshield is cracked but you can still see through it very easily, good tires. “1951 willys jeep, new carb, new master cylinder, new winshield, new steel spare,new fuel pump, new manifold gasket, good tires, good paint, turn signals, guages work, gas tank repaired, 8000# warn winch, good seats, also have fleece seat covers in the package. runs and drives, tranny slips out in 3rd when you let off gas, needs shift fork adjusted. $3000.00 no tire kickers or BS.”

“Willys Jeep CJ-My old 4×4 jeep needs a home with someone that has the time to keep her going. She needs a lot of work and tires and paint but was running when I last started her several years back.
This is the kinda project you can get going and take through the brush without worrying about scratches or dings…it ain’t pretty…it’s a ranch/hunting lease tool.
It’s a project…not something you can take and drive…you’ll have to do some work first. I don’t have the time to keep rebuilding the original carb with it’s leather accelerator pump diaphragm…a smart rebuilder would probably just put a newer carb on it. Needs brakes, seats(frames are there), tires, TLC.
lowballers…forget it…I don’t have to sell…just thought someone else might like a neat toy to play with since I don’t use it any longer.
Will considered trading for semi-auto-legal-modern firearms or real-“Damascus steel/handmade”-samurai swords…partial trades considered ”
