Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1952 Willys “Farm Jeep” CJ3-A for sale. Mostly original vehicle. 4 cylinder, runs good, lock-out hubs, four wheel drive, hi/lo all work good. 6 volt electrical system, snow plow, new seats. Good PA title, vehicle not inspected. I use it around farm for towing, hauling, plowing snow. This is one of the most sought-after Willys civilian Jeep models, would make a great candidate for restoration project, or just have fun with it as is.”

(01/23/2012) This looks like a good price. It is still 6 volt.
“This is a very fun and reliable toy. 4 cylinder motor, was government owned for most of it’s life so it was well maintained. Has some rust but not much. 6 volt system all works. i have parts for a full top and doors that need to be repaired. this is a lot cheaper than a rhino, terex or the other side by sides and you can drive it on the street too. License is current. it has had a lot of parts replaced, it is ready to use.”

It appears solid, but also appears a mixed bag of parts.

The seller is selling the body/fenders/tailgate/windshield.
“I am selling the body to my 1952 cj3a minus the grill. I am restoring my jeep back to show room condition and this body will not work. If you have a project jeep you need parts for or you are building a rock crawler this body might be what you need. The windshield frame, tailgate and hood are still in good condition. The flat fenders need sheet metal work on the mounting bracket locations. The body tub needs work but the firewall, dash and top cowl are in good shape. Its the floor that needs the work. The body panels are reusable depending on your needs. The body parts are all stamped WILLYS as well. I will take $650.00 CASH ONLY. I am keeping the grill and I will not sell individual pieces. A new windshield alone is $600.00 so $650.00 is my bottom dollar. 660-676-9707”

“1952 Willys CJ3A. Disassembled. Ready for restoration. Excellent frame, motor, transmission, axles, hood, windshield, 5 wheels, seat frames and various other parts. Needs new body tub, suspension, brakes, wiring, etc. Original owner’s manual and sales literature included. $1,750 obro. Also available, companion Bantam trailer $500.”
It doesn’t run at the moment.
“A true barn find, this 1952 CJ3A has been sitting in storage since 1987. I purchased this jeep last Feb in hopes of restoring it. There are a few pictures the day I found it. The motor had anti-freeze in the whole time it was in storage and the motor turns over by hand with a little effort. Has a very rare and hard to find original factory option rear seat. Has an after market heater. The original steering wheel is gone and someone replaced it with I think to be a Thunderbird steering wheel from the 60’s. the steering column is galvanized pipe. from the picture you can see the rust in the passenger floor and tub wall. There is a crack in the frame in a very common place where cracks form on these jeeps and is a very easy fix. Windsheild has a crack in it. Since I have owned it I have only removed the hood, windshield, front bumper/tow and side mirror. I have to move out of my storage and I have no place to keep this awesome jeep. The title I have is from 1970 and is signed. I will sign a bill of sale along with this title. I have couple of rims and tires that go with it. I’m not at my storage at time of this listing. I belive the milage to be 45.543 or it’s 55.543. Has a radio that looks like someone cut the dash to place it in and an hole in the cowl for an antenna. Has 12 volt convert and tailgate is welded but can be cut to open. Does not Run atm I’m sure a carb rebuilt, clean fuel bowl and flush of gas tank it would star and run. I just don’t have the place to work on it. You can txt me if you like or call for anyother information you need.
