Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. 1952 Jeep Willy CJ3 4×4 straight 4 cylinder. Runs great, current registration. Needs paint and perhaps a little tlc but also is very useable as is! These pictures aren’t the best, it’s in my garage out of the weather. No hard top, tires need air only. Best offer takes it away.”

“I have a 1949 Willys flat fender Jeep I’m looking to sell. The body is in pretty good shape, not a ton of rust. NO ENGINE, it has both axles, a transfer case for a AMC 304 V8, and transmission. This would be a great project vehicle, its what I had planned for it but I’m just not going to have the time or money anytime in the near future. The steering wheel and column works, it has an instrument cluster, no seats, there is a roll bar, headlights and tail lights are with it. I’m not posting a price because I’m really not sure what its worth. If interested please e-mail me. I’d be happy to answer any questions I can. I’m not a motorhead so if you have a technical question I probably wont be able to answer it. But I can answer any basic questions. I’ll consider all serious offers.”
I found this image on the web at a fake webpage (on of those pages that aggregates a bunch of misc stuff in hopes of getting click throughs). It looks like a pretty cool build. Anyone ever seen it or know any history?

The seller of the body has thrown in a running CJ-3A for combo price of $2500. I have to say, I’d really like this combo. I think that’s a good price.

Seller notes it is a CJ-3A with a 2A windshield.
“49 Willys Jeep CJ3A. Mostly stock with 4 cyl, 3 speed transmission. Drives well, good mechanical condition. Newer tires, brand new shocks and springs, less than 6 months old. New exhaust and muffler. Converted to 12 volt, has radio, CB, fog lamps, spare tire mount and tow bar. I bought jeep a couple years ago and just haven’t had the time to do much to it, now moving so won’t have a garage to store it in like I do now and don’t want to keep it out side. Is an early CJ3A and has a CJ2A windshield. $5000 or best offer.”
