Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “I have a 1950 Willys Jeep CJ3A for sale. This vehicle is partly restored and has a: new clutch, new pressure plate, new t.o. bearing carrier, new t.o. bearing, new complete clutch linkage repacement, resealed transfer case, trans bearings, new second gear, new 2/3 synchros, new 2/3 slider gear replaced, 5 new NDT military tires from Coker Vintage Tire Co., new tailgate, new turn signal switch, both tail light assemblies with replica NACO units, new voltage regulator, new seat covers, new fuel tank, new fuel lines. The body is in reasonable to good condition with minimal defects for its age. (see pics). I’m asking $4000.00 but will consider any reasonalbe offer. I currently have far more invested in this project than the asking price but have a more important project to finish, (home remodel)”

This is a nice looking CJ-3A, but it isn’t all original except for the 12 volt.
“1953 Willys Jep CJ2A. Completly restored. Excllent condition. Has Two tops ,full cloth and bimini top cloth. Has 5 orginal rims and 4 new larger rims and tires. Has large original winch from the 50’s Drives great. Storing space and My ability to enter and exit the vehicle force me to sell. It has been converted to the 12volt system that is the only thing that is not original, See Photos,call for serious inquries only. For jeep lovers these this vehicle is a must. Jeeps in the 50’s still running are hard to find,and in this condition are very rare. JEEP ALSO COMES WITH TOW BAR”

(05/19/2010) Everything looks nice, but it appears it needs to be put back together.
“I have a Willys with a 73 pinto motor. Power steering, Rancho springs, good rims and tires. Motor runs good. Needs some tlc. Looking to trade for another project. Motorcycle, rat rod, led sled, muscle car, drag car, import or domestic, let me know what you have.”

The frame has already been cleaned up. This might be decent price depending on how bad the rust is.
“For sale is a 1951 willys jeep frame and body. The frame has been sandblasted and epoxy primed. The body is in ok condition. The tub has some rust out. For the most part it is in very good condition for its age. Send me your email for more pics.”

Here’s a good looking CJ-3A.
“Totally rebuilt & restored. Excellent condition and runs well. This is a real head turner and is fun to drive. 4X4, Warn hubs, roll bar with bikini top, PTO, lots of new and rebuilt parts.”
Check out those headlight bezels … they look a lot like CJ-V35s to me …. The seller has a second ’49 body and parts for sale as well.
