Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $850.
It’s likely a project, but it appears all there.
“Bought to restore but don’t have time. 1949 CJ3A with full hardtop. Original except the gas tank and front seat has been changed. Do not know condition of engine, have not tried to start yet. All running gear and engine are complete. Original lock out hubs. No title, bill of sale only. Possible trade for tractor, guns or ??????”

The flatties are in OK to poor shape, but that CJ-5 is tweaked too much to be worth much, unless it’s got an overdrive or something else we can’t see.

“1950 Jeep CJ-3A Nice driver. Used daily. New top, wheels, battery, and much, much more. Converted to 12 volts and new wiring. Front and rear have been changed to newer units that are higher geared. I have the old set. Aluminum top also. $5000,”

Doesn’t look too bad for $1000.
“Picked this up last year expecting this to be a “father and son” project…it turned out that neither of us had the time we thought we had. Son now wants a motorcycle or something “sportier” and I just want my driveway back. This Jeep needs to be completely restored and is not currently running. You could weld some sheet metal in the floor boards, reconnect everything, and bondo and paint it and it would pass for a while, but it is 50+ years old and would serve you better to really do some work on it. Aftermarket parts for this aren’t very painful…complete bolt on steel body kit runs about $3K from JC Whitney, a little less for fiberglass…if you want to bypass the patch, weld, and refinish route. Engine is easy to go through and lots of parts on the web. I have some makeshift seats (actual frame with a poly seat covering) and some miscellaneous parts to go along. Let me know your thoughts…I’m open to negotiation. Might consider a trade (for me, not my son)…possibly a running 60-70’s VW or a sportbike?? Check the link below for more pictures. ”

Not a whole lot of value left on this CJ.
“Basically, I have a completely unrestored, and non running CJ. Early willys. CJ2a windshield. A little cancer, all parts are there. Flat fendres, grill tail gate, original axles, tranny/tcase. Ford motor, disassembled at the heads, probably not even rebuild able.
I’ve had guys come look at this expecting more. When I say it needs a restoration I mean it. This is not a parts gold mine… Its old, its rusty and incomplete. Best used as parts, have panels taken from it, etc. I was going to take a Cherokee, and salvage all the parts from it to put into the Willys, but whatever you guys want. Its cheap enough, and price is negotiable it needs to move in 3 weeks or else it his the scrap yard. And yes the Capstan winch is GONE; no title”

“i have a 51 willys with a buick v6 in it the jeep was a project truck for offroad but i haven’t had the time to work on it but would make a great offroad rig or rock crawler… the brakes need to be blead and fluids replaced it has new tires and it needs a good fine tuning but will run please call with questions ”

“This is a freaked out full blown buggy with a ford 351 M, automatic 205 transfer case. Dana 60″s front and rear. hydrolic steer, 40 inch Irocs with bead locks. Corbeau seats and harnesses. Fully caged, all linked billisteen shocks, Way to much to list.
