This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1951 Willys Jeep for sale. Semi restored Willys jeep. This is a hard to find Jeep. Newly painted Battleship Grey and undercoated. new gas tank, gauges, wiring, windsheild, body is in great shape. No dents, rust, or cancer. 4WD and runs great. Stock 4cyl. flathead. Needs new tires and seat covers. Steering wheel is cracked.

UPDATE: Price dropped to $1300
There’s some odd points in the body on the passenger side and I can’t tell if that’s the lighting, rust, or paint. This doesn’t run.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3500
“I’m selling this CJ3a for $3500 firm. I recently put an original style L-Head back into it after the previous owner did a V6 conversion on it. This L-Head is a higher compression version of the original; a Kaiser Supersonic engine. It has excellent consistency of compression between the cylinders. This vehicle also has brand new (about 500 miles) BFG All-terrain 30×9.50-15s.
The vehicle just needs the ignition wired up to start and the exhaust is not installed, though I have all the pieces.”

I always laugh when I see the “it ran when parked” comment.
“This is a WIlly’s jeep that is a project. I just want the thing out of my garage. My husband bought it from my brother five years ago and promised to have it running within a year. Now I just want my garage back. $1200 OBO…price is not firm
When the jeep was parked it was running with the new motor, but it needed new wiring. The jeep does have the hood, tailgate, and door frames…”

This has got a fiberglass body.
“4×4 fiberglass body with steel grill hood and windshield frame, flathead 4 cyinder, runs great!, will consider trade or part trade for a full sized p/up with 8 foot bed road worthy. some work needed O.K.”
UPDATE: There were two projects, but it appears now there is only one.

I didn’t get many specifics on this build, other than it is a barn find that was carefully rebuilt and is located in or near deer park, washington. There are lots of great details on it. Thanks for the pics Michelle!

The price on this project will drop. This could also be a rare ’49 CJ-2A.
