Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. It looks like there’s been a few mods on this CJ-3A, so some type of posi or locker seems possible.
“1951 willy 4cj5jp reg-10/31/2009 has a v6 with 1000 miles, new wheel cyl and rebuilt master. needs tires and wheels but runs with the ones on it. lights are new but need to be wired. I think it has a posi rear because 1st and second leaves great dual tire marks. thanks Jeff sell_barter@yahoo.com”
It’s not worth $2500, as it doesn’t run. Might be worth a closer look if the price drops substantially.

I know the Ad says 2A, but the year suggests it’s a 3A. Nice top, tilt wheel, and other upgrades.

This is an ebay buy-it-now sale. At first I thought the model year was wrong, but then I realized the body has a solid back (no tailgate). So, I believe this is a DJ-3A that has been converted to 4wd, hence the reason it sports a dana 27 front housing. The brand new fiberglass parts alone would cost at least $600. The tires and rims look fine. The body appears in good shape. It doesn’t actually say it runs, but if it does, I think this is a good price.

It’s a bit rough around the edges, but no obvious holes or major rust.
“This is a good jeep. The engine runs great. The jeep needs some work, but I have parts that go with it.
Four brand new mounted tires. A new top kit. New hubs. Gaskets and seals for front end and rear end. Shift lever floor gaskets, tail light. If you like to tinker with old jeeps, this would be a good project for you.”

“Sb 350 Chevy, Turbo 350 tranny, built, mild cam, Edelbrock Intake Manifold, Holley carb, gear drive, Hedman headers, B&M shifter, 4-point harness, racing seats, cutstom rear gas tank. Motor has like 5 Hours on it. Went to the sand and broke the rear-end. Have New Quik-Change rear-end to go with. Brand new paddles, (used once) $2500 OBO”

This looks like a pretty stock jeep, except for a few minor updates.
