This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Seller writes, “.. it runs but new carburetor so it dies without gas …” … don’t they all die without gas? Note the lack of hood latches, bench seat and custom windshield.

“1953 willy’s jeep cj-3b. Clean title up to date tag with paperwork it runs but new carburetor so it dies without gas. It has been converted to a 12volt system and too a electric fuel pump. upgrades include -New 12v battery -New electric fuel pump -New starter solenoid -New fuel lines -New carburetor -New starter haven’t got installed but i will before you pick it up -New plugs have not installed yet -new oil change.”

“$700 obo/trade I believe this is a 1953 cj3b, I purchased this as is for a rat rod project that I haven’t gotten to. Has Dana 44/12 bolt K5 blazer axles, and a 4 cylinder scout drivetrain? Have a low mileage sbc 5.0/700r4 I was going to use for the rat rod that can come with it”

“1953 Willys CJ3B 327 4 spd Muncie 4wd drive works , Long tube headers, 4 wheel disc brakes, rebuilt transfer case. Runs and drives great and fast. All gauges work new fuel tank. Has full soft top and old bikin top underneath it. Custom roll bar done in the 70s. Newer Toyo Open County’s 33×10.5r15 on old turbines rims. Super cool Willys done back in the day and just brought back to life!”
