Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1963 Willys CJ3B Jeep
This is an original High Hood, Flat Fender, Four Wheel Drive, Universal Jeep from Willys. It is VERY unique and reasonably rare (in this condition). It turns more heads than a Lamborghini Gallardo. If you are shy and don’t like attention, this car may not be for you.
It came off a farm in Virginia. A friend and I restored it and removed all Bondo patches and replaced them with steel. Our goal was to take it back to as original condition as possible. All original running gear. 4 Wheel Drive system works fine. Manual Lockout hubs. Correct lights and heater. It has a “Granny’ gear that will climb a tree.
I am looking to trade it for a 1940 through 1956 Pick-Up truck (Any size up to 3 ton) with:
-Ford, Chevrolet or Dodge
-Mostly or all original (No modifications that can be seen)
-Running and driving
-Good interior
-Solid body and frame
-Good paint.
-It doesn’t need to be SHOW condition.”

(08/05/2013) Here’s a beautiful CJ-3B. It looks like it might have a government plate on the dash next to the standard data plate.
“A fully restored Jeep that has spent it’s life in Oregon and Arizona. This jeep was frame off restored in 2010 in Arizona and has too many new parts to mention! New parts include paint, interior, gauges, steering wheel, winshield glass and rubber, seats, complete wiring harness, new electrics to include starter, alternator, battery, all switches, complete new braking system to include master cylinder, lines, hoses, wheel cylinders, shoes, drums, complete new cooling system to include new radiator, hoses, water pump, belts, thermostat, all new fluids in engine, trans, differentials, all new tuneup parts, new gas tank, sender, gas lines, 4 new tires on powder coated rims, all new exhaust system, engine has a tag showing a rebuild approximately 15k miles ago.”

Ford v8, freshly rebuilt c4 auto transmission, Warn transfercase overdrive unit from Herm the Overdrive Guy, 8k Winch, brand new Winters Sidewinder shifter, Saginaw crossover steering conversion, tilt column, Mallory gauges, new springs/shakles, tires are 90%, brand new spare, new rust free body tub from Willys-Overland, paint is not perfect but looks very good, white Kayline soft top in good shape (no rips/tears/cracks), swing out spare tire/jerry can rack, Tuffy back seat/storage lock box, and much more. This Willys runs and drives excellent. I will remove this ad once the jeep has been sold, so if this is still up, I still have it. $8,500 obo no trades.
