Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (04/19/2022) Some of the elements on this make me wonder if it was an old school build that has been recently updated into a crawler. Hard to tell for sure at this point.
“1957 Willys Jeep rock crawler, street legal off road Jeep. Ford posi-traction 9in chrome differentials, 4 wheel disc brakes, fox body fuel injected 5.0 engine, C4 transmission, Warn winch, Hi-Lift jack, onboard compressor, comes with regular tires and a set of paddles. Runs great, take it to the desert and have fun.”

Seller notes there is some body rust, but the jeep shows well in the pics.
“1957 Willys CJ-3B. Runs great, motor rebuilt around 2012. Many new cosmetic improvements: new seat foam and canvass, repainted transmission cover, new shifter boots, new paint-in bedliner, new seatbelts. Transmission and transfer case were recently gone through and work great. The frame is solid. Runs and rides great.
The body looks good, but there is rust. If you are looking for a restoration project, plan on doing body work. Someone has used body filler and painted this Jeep. It looks good, just know that the body is not solid metal.
This would be a great Jeep for a restoration project or to enjoy as is. It certainly catches people’s attention.
The true mileage is unknown. Odometer shows about 13,000 miles, but it’s probably more like 113,000.”

“Rare find – 1983 Mitsubishi Willys Jeep J59. Low mileage (73k shown is kilometers, which equates to 46k miles). Clean Georgia title. Imported from Japan, right hand drive. No issues, drive it frequently around Blue Ridge. Stored under cover (car cover included). Will provide contact info for a local mechanic who knows old Jeeps, so no worries about maintenance. Only selling because I just got a new trailer, don’t have room to park it anymore. Great vehicle, loads of fun!”
