About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
Jim’s wife spotted this CJ-3B and sent him the link (Jim suspects she wants another car .. those sneaky women!). This looks pretty solid and stock, though it has some rust that rims the edges.
“This is a rare 1964 CJ3B”tall hood” Jeep. It came from Texas so very little rust. Has factory hard top. Starts and runs great, even stops good. $3500.00″
This is a good looking CJ-3B with unusual striping.
“You are bidding on a beautiful original 1953 Willys Jeep CJ-3B. Black plate California jeep. This jeep runs very good with no oil consumption or leaks. The only rust is on the front fender where it meets the grill and the tailgat has a crack where the spare tire carrier used to be as seen in the pictures. It has a new clutch and pressure plate installed last year. The top is almost new with one small tear in the passenger door that happened when it was hauled to Arkansas from California in 2009. It also has a canopy top in good shape for those warm summer days. All 3 seats show some wear but have no rips or tears. The speedometer does not work the needle is broken off in the gauge. It has chrome rims and good street tires. The engine, transmission, twin stick transfer case and third members are all in good shape with easy shifting and no strange noises. New brakes were installed in 2009. The jeep comes with a tow bar for towing behind your motorhome. I have owned this jeep for over 10 years and bought it from a friend who used it on his horse ranch. This is a great jeep, a lot of fun and I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere. Good luck bidding and enjoy this historical masterpiece. THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION. Any questions just e-mail me. This is sold AS IS with no warranty.”
“1954 Willys Jeep. Asking $4,500 OBO. Has original 4 cyclinder engine run good. Locker axles in the back, power steering, tilt wheel, winch, stereo etc. Would be great jeep for the mountains.”
“1954 Willy’s Jeep – CJ 3B; new transmission, new transfer case, new overdrive, new rear end, needs to be put back together. Doesn’t run. Needs TLC. Has row bars and soft top. $2,400.00 FIRM – Cash Only”
“This old Willys was origjnally owned by the city of Templeton, IA. I bought it about a year ago from a farmer who used it just around the farm, mostly to give his kids and grand kids rides off road. It started and ran when I got it, but was not dependable, reliable or street legal. I’ve done a lot of work (documented) to this old Willys here in my shop to make it safe, reliable, dependable, legal and most of all fun. The 6 bolt system and all of the original wiring has been replaced with a complete 12 volt system with custom wiring throughout. It has dual tail lights with license light, park lights, turn signals with dash indicator and working self cancel, horn, 2 speed custom (CJ5 parts) wipers, 2 speed custom heater blower motor with defrost tube, interior lights and a 12 volt power receptacle under the dash for what ever ( I use it to plug in my phone). The original seats have been replaced with new cloth covered seat assemblies from Vanderhaag truck parts. The passenger seat has been adapted to fit the flip seat bracket to allow access to the floor mounted tool box. Seat belts are a set of dated Simpsons out of my old race car. The rear facing functional flip fold CJ5 back seat sits atop a custom built frame and has retractable seat belts for 2 out of an old K5 Blazer. The top is in excellent condition. I put it on new last year. The 4×4 works excellent. In LOW LOW this unit will go just about anywhere. I’ve had it off road in the mud, snow, dirt, sand, up and down hills and then right out onto the road and headed for home. There’s been alot more done to this old Willys, including rebuilt park brake, new fuel tank and sender, belt, hoses, wires, plugs, carb rebuilt, custom installed CJ5 roll bar, etc, etc, etc. It’s not beautiful.”
This includes an OD, extra engine, extra tranny and tc.
“I got it from the ORIGINAL OWNER!!!!!! need some work, it has some easally repairable rust in teh front floorboard. I can fix it for a very resaonable cost (the right way, no hack job) or you can. its been in dry storage its whole life. chevy small block w/3speed and Warn overdrive. I also have a Jeep (buick) 225 v-6 w/ t-14 3spd and dana 20 transfercase from a commando that can go with it. It would not take much at all to have this thing on the road (or off the road). wiring is all there converted to 12 volt. drivetrain is all intact. I have the windshield (cracked) and top w/doors that are not in the photos. needs some brakes work. the roll bar is also frame mounted.
Make me an offer, please be reasonable because it is not very often you run across an original owner jeep of this era. I might, just maybe, possably take PART trade on this (totota stuff, chevy stuff ,tires, or running car, or something REALLY interesting)……but only maybe part trade. I do not want to sell thsi it is my dream jeep (especially when done) but I started a new business and need the $$$$$ Thanks for looking. email is the best way to get ahold of me right now.”

It runs. This looks more like a chariot than a jeep 🙂
“I am selling my Willys Jeep. I bought it as a rock crawling project, but I am not able to finish. It has the original F-Head engine, with oil bath air filter. It starts right up and runs great. It has a 3 speed transmission with a Warn overdrive. New parts that I installed include: coil, distributor, and plugs. I have other new parts which are included but haven’t installed: master brake cylinder, all new brake cylinders and all small parts to rebuild the brakes. Also, new choke line, plug wires, oil filter, and fan belt. I also am including a chain assisted clutch linkage from Advanced Adapters, as the old clutch linkage is worn out.
(11/17/09) Here’s a CJ-3B that looks in good shape, though the exterior has been painted with a bed liner.
“For sale is an excellent condition 1953 Cj3b. I purchased the jeep in Kalispell, Montana in 2000. Since then, it has made several moves around the country and finally wound up here in Bend, Oregon. I kept the jeep in its original terrible condition for seven long years and would receive the half-hearted thumbs-up at stoplights. Now it turns heads everywhere it goes. The jeep has a bad history of turning a 10 minute trip to the store into a two hour discussion with an oldtimer who used to farm his property with this same model. Everywhere you drive, expect to stop and talk. We have even been pulled over by the state police, not because we were speeding (that’s impossible except for in school zones) but because he was curious to find out what was under the hood; having never seen the Willy’s high-hood before….”
