I can’t tell if it is running. No specifics listed. However, the body looks very straight. It appears to me to be a great deal.”

1958 CJ-3B Soda Springs, Id eBay
UPDATE: This has been relisted on eBay
It looks like it is sporting some newer springs with some lift, but otherwise is pretty stock. Appears in very good shape as does the trailer.
“This Jeep is in excellent condition! I was going to use this for mountain fun, but decided it was in to good of shape because it is vintage. It runs great and I have had no problems with it. Does leak a little oil. Very quiet and clean! There is a scratch in the paint on the hood. I tried to show this as best I could in the pictures. I bought it from a retired gentleman that had restored it and kept it in garage and so have I. Comes with bikini top, full soft top, hard side doors with matching paint, tow bar, two jeep manuals, an extra gasoline rack, harness seat belts. Tires are in excellent condition and the spare is new. ”

Note the indents on the passenger side. This is likely a reproduction body. Seems like a pretty good price.

Builds — Vivek’s CJ-3B
Vivek purchased a 1967 CJ-3B right hand drive Mahindra at the end of 2004. According to his early blog notes, the jeep barely started, was missing the front drive line, and generally needed a lot of work. When he finally did pick it up, on the way back it stalled, requiring the help of some local builders to move it out of the way of a bus. Fast forward several years later and you can see Vivek and his CJ-3B pictured on the right.
Among Vivek’s challenges was his effort to get the papers. Not only were the papers absent, but apparently the owner wanted to sell the jeep, but the owner’s son did not. It took a few weeks before Vivek could get the original papers, insisting the owner drop the price slightly further for all the trouble the owner caused him. You can read about the purchase here.
Learn more about Vivek’s recent engine rebuild, the jeep club he belongs to, and some recent jeeping pictures. Also, check out Vivek’s friend UBS and his one-of-a-kind jeep collection.
Vivek’s working for the next few months in Milipitas, California. When he heads back in December, he hopes to take back a lift kit with him. If anyone has any suggestions, comment below.

1953 CJ-3B Durango, Co **SOLD**
UPDATE: SOLD, but not picked up yet …
I think there is lots of life left in this CJ-3B, as much of it looks straight and in good condition. However, I would like a closer look at the front bumper area, as that bumper angles a little bit too much.
“I’m selling this 1953 Willys Jeep CJ3B for a friend and neighbor of mine. He’s drove it for as is for a long time. In December last year he pulled the stock T90 transmission to rebuild it as it sometimes popped out of third gear when accelerating. A huge storm hit, dumping so much snow it crushed his garage barely missing the Jeep. Would be a very good, inexpensive project for the right person. I will try to be as detailed and candid as possible but feel free to ask questions and I will answer as quickly as I can. Has a 289 Ford small block under the hood, add a battery, antifreeze and its a runner again. Has been converted to Saginaw steering, with column, box etc. steers easy. Stock running gear behind the engine, T90, spicer 18, stock axles etc. Still has good brakes, has only been sitting since Christmas rather than years in a back field like so many out there…”
**SOLD**
1953 CJ-3A Chico, Ca $1750 OBO
There are three pictures of this jeep. Two I *think* are before it was torn down and the third looks like it is an in-progress rebuild. In the third picture, shown to the right, you'll note newer rims and how the body is sitting higher than before (could be a new SOA mod or different springs).
