Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1750.
“For sale is a 1953/1954 Jeep Willys CJ-3B $1750 obo. Motor runs very strong for original engine. The 4WD does not work but the Jeep still drives well. The body is in rough shape. This Jeep would make a great restoration project or hunting/farm vehicle. Included in the sale is a tow bar and trailer lights for towing.”
This looks nice. I’m not sure where West Magic Reservoir is.
“This is one great jeep. It is all original, four cylinder newly re-built engine, new suspension, new tires, new fuel pump, new brakes. No cracks in glass, It’s clean, runs great, looks great. Have to sell, but firm on price. If you know your Willys, you’ll love this one.”

**SOLD** Here’s a great deal that Brett spotted.
“1960 CJ3B tall hood Willys Jeep. Buick V6, Power steering, New windshield, All new steering parts, newer brakes, Ultra low 5/38 gears, 8000 LB PTO winch. Street legal but with a top speed around 50 its best suited as a trail rig, Farm truck or for hunting. Does have a tow bar that goes with it so you can flat tow it to the trails. The body is in rough shape. I have another good CJ2 low hood body for an extra couple hundred. I would consider trading for a little 70’s Datsun or Toyota pickup.”
This is a no reserve auction with a starting price of $600. It appears there is $600 worth of value here.
“Has new leaf springs and shocks. Leafs were put over axles to lift jeep. Reinforcement will be needed for steering from leaf over axle change. Changed from manual fuel pump to electric fuel pump. Engine runs but needs fuel pump modification for correct fuel intake. I did drive jeep before parking 3 years ago. I just don’t have the time to keep the project going.”

“4 Wheel drive, new electrical wiring, 36inch tires, new drive line, 4 speed, 350 chev motor. New paint and new interior. Is a very powerful running jeep.”
This is pretty rough, but is a no reserve auction.
“1962 Willy Jeep for restoration. I believe it is a CJ3B flat finder, high hood. It has a clear title and ran before it was put in storage. The transmision and four wheel drive were all working how ever the motor is now stuck. Body has rust and a few holes but the mount and frame are good. The floor board has only a few small holes but the bottom of the bed is gone. The top is good and it has doors as well. Most of the glass is bad or gone. I put lub in the cyclinders and I’m sure you can get the motor to run.There is no reserve and must be paid for at end of sale and pick up with in 30 days Thanks.”
