Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This appears to be a great price on a nice looking CJ-3B.
“For sale: 1962 4WD Willys Jeep CJ2. Good condition, runs great, looks great as you will see in the pictures. Jeep has transportation tow bar in the front and trailer hitch. New starter, and new tires. Please email me if you have any questions. This is a nice, clean vehicle and has been protected from the weather. Serious offers only. Vehicle is located in the Tyler area.”
This CJ-3B has some unusual upgrades. I haven’t seen a roll cage quite like this one; and, I’m not sure about having the tubing, unpadded, right behind the driver and passenger. It’s worth a review.
“1960 willys cj3b, vin 5734860874, about 400 road miles since built, original frame “solid no rust” boxed. cj-5 running gear, front is a dana 25 or 20 completely rebuilt including brakes, rear is a dana 44 same as above, motor is a mid 70’s Buick odd fire 235 v6 it is completely rebuilt from the crank to the heads mostly stock rebuild by a professional ….”

Does the windshield looks like it’s tilted back a little far or is it my imagination?
“1954 flat fender high hood CJ3B Willys Jeep 4×4 $5000 OBO. It has a 350 5.0 engine out of a 1991 Chevy 1500 truck mated with a 4 speed saginaw transmission, transmission has over drive and 4wd w/high and low, 33″ Mud Rover tires plus some parts and accessories. Runs great and it looks pretty good too (see pics) …”

“I have a 52 wills cj-3b high hood. I had the jeep running about a year ago when i got it since then the starter stoped working so at this time does not run. The frame axles and engine are all in good cond its a good solid base to start a resto on. The body as you would expect is in rough shape but the frame looks good. all the running gear is there and it would make a great project.”
The seller says this is a 1946 CJ-3, but clearly it’s a CJ-3B. It’s probably worth a look.
“its a 46 willys jeep cj3 sitting on a 68 cj5 frame and axles. its got the buick dauntless v6 with a th400 auto tranmission not for sure on what transfer case is on it. the body is in really GOOD shape for being a 46 it the body was restored 5 or 6 years ago has some dings and dent very little rust and 2 rust holes in the rocker panels has a brand new wireing harness.has full roll cage just needs to be welded in. just needs to be finished asking $1500 or best offer also take trade for 4wheeler or four wheel drive.. you can email me at griffinkyle@yahoo.com and can get more pictures or info”
UPDATE: This one is back. Note the reference to the mileage has been left off, though there is a pic of the speedometer. As Ed and Mitch both excellently point out, the speedometer does not appear to be original, so it’s likely that the mileage is under reported.
The owner has set the starting bid at $8,000. This jeep comes with a pretty good story posted on the CJ-3B page. The speedometer on this CJ-3B shows mileage of 7,150 miles.
