Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “With great regret, I’m selling my little jeep that has been part of the family since new. I ended up with it in ‘07 and did the transformation to what you see
It has a 1995 4.3 with 90k miles on it, Painless wiring harness, NP435 transmission with Dana 20 twin stick that’s been geared lower, Dana 44’s out of a Scout II with 5.38 gears. It has a Detroit rear and an ARB front locker. It has a power steering box from a Scout II, and Hydroboost from a CUCV.
It also has 14” Fox air shocks all the way around with 37” red label BFG crawlers. I have a brand new pair Of PRP seats that go with it, it already has PRP 4 point harnesses installed. I have a fuel cell for it that I never installed also.
It has a Warn 8274-50 winch, aluminum radiator, xenon headlights, cage is all 120 wall DOM.
It’s completely street legal, has been driven all over the place, it’ll get down on the trails. It has great street manners. 3 link front and 4 link rear with Ballistic Fab brackets everywhere.”

Period correct restoration? It’s labeled as a “Jeep Willys CJ-2A”, but the seller also notes it has a cj3b 4-134.

It appears there are two tubs, one of which is a replacement body.

According to the guy I bought it from it was running when he took it apart for restoration. The original color is rare Cadet Gray. It comes with many spare parts including a complete Koenig hard top and a complete aftermarket body kit. Have a title in hand.”

“1943 Willy’s Jeep ( Ford ) . 327 Chevy V8, T-90 transmission , Dana 18 transfer case 29 tooth, power steering.33 x 12.5 Goodyear Mud tires. I bought this a few years back not running as a tinker project. I have had a lot of fun getting it running and fixing it up. I have been using it as a grocery getter around town and enjoyed the heck out of it. Like any Willy’s of it’s age it is not perfect but I have replaced quite a few things so you should be able to turn the key and enjoy.
Parts I have replaced (New) – power steering box, tie rod ends, steering column, new drum brakes, calipers and master cylinder , radiator , electric fan, front seats with 4 point harness, electric fuel pump, MSD ignition , LED head and tail lights, carburetor (3 years old), jerry can, one new fuel tank with sending unit.exhaust pipe and muffle replaced back from headers. New wiper motors and wipers.

(07/10/2018) I’m wondering if the rear of the body was repaired using an MB replacement panel? I can’t remember seeing any replacement 3B tubs with a solid back.

“Re Posting my 1953 High Hood Willys. Had the listing up a few months ago but got real busy. Ran when I put in the barn ten years ago. Needs master cylinder for brakes which I have and did not put in. Been in the family since the 1970’s. Will need to be trailered to your location doesn’t run at the moment . Engine not locked up. Rust in various places and some dings. Would make a great teen summer restoration project. Can send you more pics if desired. Comes with a rare steel cab roof”
