Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1960 Willys CJ5 for sale. 4 cyl, 3 speed all stock. Tub pretty beat up but I have a second tub, fenders rollbar and a ton of parts. I never tried to start the thing, it appears complete under the hood. I bought it as a doner while I was putting together my 1965 CJ.

Here is a bit more info: Jeep ran until he decided to park it. Put air in the tires & loaded the Jeep today (1/19). ‘Ready for travel to the new owner.’

Jeep Tj Rear Dana 44. Chromoly Shafts. Welded Gears. $900.
Winches: I have two Warn 8274 Winches. Both are ready to go. I will do $800 on them. I have a nice Ramsey winch as well I will sell for $400. I believe it is a 9500 lb.”
Runs, but seller is having some trouble getting started lately.
“I have a ’63 CJ5 with a plow for sale or trade.
Has the 134 2.2L Hurricane engine mated to the T90 3 speed manual with the Dana Spicer model 18 transfer case.
Comes with a working plow.
Body’s not in terrible shape, previous owner did some work to it. Floor pans are riveted in, not professional quality but do the job.
Brand new carburetor put on it a few months ago along with a fuel tank installed.
Definitely needs work, not a daily driver by any means.
Needs brakes, Emergency brake works well. Headlights work, along with plow lights.
Was running well, but been having problems starting it. Going to change plugs and fluids and work from there.
Would really like to put more work into the jeep, but really don’t have the knowledge or the finances to do so.
