This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This jeep has a couple neat features. It’s got an interesting spare tire/back bumper set up and it’s still has the Cutlas operation sticker within the glove box (alas, the cutlas hubs aren’t on it anymore).

“This Jeep is the cleanest unrestored 1957 around. No cancer!!! !! Original paint. Has dealer option hard top and doors that have NEVER been removed. Jeep was ordered with a snow plow but plow has since been lost.
Original 1/3 2/3 front seat. Factory “ Willys all range “ overdrive. with original 3 speed trans. This Jeep never came with a roll bar or a rear seat. Rear cargo area is extremely clean. Original owner had a 351 Windsor installed in 1974.
When he passed away 5 years ago, the Jeep was left to his best friend who had the engine rebuilt, balanced and blue printed by a local hot rod shop. The jeep was driven approximately 500 miles since the rebuild. Just replaced the fuel line and filter as well as the the cap, rotor, points etc.. Tires are 32×11.50 BFG all terrains with at least 90% tread on 15×10 wheels.
Maybe some value here.

Joel alerted me to this auction at GovDeals.com. It is incorrectly listed as a CJ-6. The auction ends 04/08/2020. The jeep is located in Northeast Ohio.
“1973 Jeep Brush Truck. This truck is a one owner and has served as a grass fighter ever since new. Jeep starts and runs perfectly. Emergency lights and siren will stay. The radio will be county removed. 50 gallon water tank. (2) 3/4″ booster lines. Winch works. 4×4 works. Tires in great shape. Mileage is believed to be accurate. Vehicle serviced regularly.”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $2200. (or parted out)

Steve spotted this ad. The CJ-5 runs, has a plow, a Acme hardtop, and a Warn OD. Seems worth a look.

“Original condition Willys Jeep CJ-5 showing 71k miles on the odometer. F-head 134 Hurricane 4-cylinder engine runs smooth and sweet. Three speed manual transmission, two speed transfer case, coupled to a Warn overdrive gear unit and a newer clutch. (have video of engine idling)
The jeep drives, shifts, and brakes normal. The overdrive unit, when engaged, reduces engine RPM and allows for a more road friendly vehicle. Look up Warn overdrive to get an idea of its value. (have video of driving through gears)
