About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
Here’s an unusually modified DJ. It might not take a whole lot to change it back to original.
“1959 DJ willys , this was originally a delivery jeep when first manufactured ,this jeep has been modified with adding 4wheeel drive axel in front ,and closing in door openings at bottom . their are two seats for the front only one shown in pictures . I have original top but it is not painted to match rest of jeep, their are no doors that come with it. flat head 4cylinder runs great and transmision and brakes work perfect. new super swamper tires and nice aluminum rims. $3750.00
#812 617 1858”
“One 1946 Willys CJ2A runs and drives great ready to go with an 8,000 lb. Ramsey winch and new tires. This is a rare Jeep with column shift and all numbers matching, all tags in place. Four wheel drive, low and high range all work. Everything on the Jeep works but the speedometer.
One 1948 CJ2A tub, chassis, motor and all drive train except axles which I have and go with jeep so this is a complete Jeep.
One 1940’s CJ2A tub, chassis, and all drive line except motor which I have and goes with Jeep so this is a complete Jeep.
One 1955 CJ3B complete Jeep.
One 1940’s CJ2A tub, chassis and drive train everything for another complete Jeep except motor.
One 1940’s DJ2A tub in great shape, this is a rare tub for a DJ because its left hand steer. Several extra frames, grills, fenders, tires and wheels, engine parts, manuals, etc. more parts than the pictures show. Everything goes as a package deal, I will not sell separate.
If you are a Jeep person or want a great project vehicle this is a great deal. All could be sold separate or parted out for more money on ebay or something but I don’t want the hassle. I am getting out of the Jeep business. I built the first one over 15 years ago and it was rougher than the rest in this package. I will be glad to answer any questions and send you more pictures but please, serious buyers only. 251-721-5100”
“This Jeep “Surrey” has ridiculously low mileage – only 1780 miles in over 50 years! Pale pink exterior, original striped soft top (with fringe!) All original body – and rust free!”
“1962 Willys DJ3A Surrey, Body,Original Frame with SN# 21501 visible, Surrey Top Bows, Included also is Original DJ3A Front Axle, Rear Axle, and Side Shift T-96 B Transmission I purchased separately and am picking up on way to The Great Willys Picnic, Sunday, June 12. The bad side of the deal is there is NO Title, NO Data Plate, but repros are available (Would Read 56337-21501), and other than a few other misc. parts, what you see is what you get. The original frame is usable, though the front cross member has been replaced with a later unit to accommodate a steering sector which is included. The 4WD Axles included are probably CJ5. According to the folks in Maryland I bought this from, this Surrey was used frequently on a 60’s TV Show called Wonderama broadcast locally in the NYC and Baltimore areas, but I have not confirmed this yet. This was originally a true pink Surrey, built in the first third of 1962 production. A challenging restoration, you’ll be searching for many DJ3A specific parts, but here is a great beginning and only out and about because of this eWillys site along with Dave’s sharp eyes. The price is $2500 CASH, includes delivery to either The Great Willys Picnic or any where between there and my Maine location. Again: Bill of Sale ONLY!!! Email me glenns@tdstelme.net for phone contact and other information.”
“1957 Willys CJ3A has Chevy 283 V8 with HEI Ignition. Jeep looks, runs, and drives great. Has T-90 Transmission, Dana 44 axels. FIberglass body, fold and tumble rear seats, 12v wipers, CD Stereo, driver passanger and rear lap seat belts, and many other new parts. $4,500 OBO”
The bodies aren’t the greatest, but there do seem to be parts here.
“selling off collection of flatfenders. lost storage and doubt i’ll ever get to complete a resto… here are a few pictures, more pics available. there are two DJ3’S, TWO CJ2A’S, ONE CJ3A. $750.ea. also have a few 2A rolling chassis. LOT’S OF JEEP PARTS!! call, 603-352-4204 or email”
Compared to the one below, this doesn’t look like much of a deal.
“1963 Willys 2 wheel drive Jeep. 13″ four lug wheels. Low mileage, less than 3,000 miles? Runs. Some spare parts. Painted military. Call 906-472-2532. Located near Kenton, MI”
(05/18/2011) This is listed as a 1948 CJ-2A, but it has a DJ-3A bumper and body at the very least. It might be on a CJ-2A frame, as it does have 4wd.
“I have a 1948 Willy’s that I am forced to part with after putting lots of effort into it. The VIN plate is good and therefore easily titled. I can provide a Bill of Sale.
The front and rear end were totally rebuilt with new gears, seals and bearings. The engine runs strong after a tune up, and newly rehabbed starter. All cylinders have good compression. Clutch is functions enough to move the Jeep around the yard as you can see. So considered it drivable enough to get it up on a trailer under its own power.
The body is the problem. Not shown is the hood in standard condition. The center seam needs work. But the hood is included. The floors are gone.”
