Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This sold quickly, but no surprise there, as it was listed at only $600.!
“SOLD!!! Thanks to all interested! 1961 DJ3A this is one of a few two wheel drive. Drove it around the block roughly a year ago, don’t have time to work on it anymore. First 600 cash takes it home.”

“JEEP 1959 WILLYS DJ3A, Dispatcher, 2wd,3 speed on the colmn, L 134 engine, they only made a little over 1950 of these. Bought it 34 years ago. Needs water pump. Engine was rebuilt year ago, but only put about 300 miles on it.”

This is a 2wd. It might be a DJ with the wrong year.

The openings a re a little chopped, but looks solid otherwise.

Brett found this nice looking rig. Note the left-handed emergency brake. This could be either a fiberglass body or a DJ-3A body, though I’m gonna guess the latter.

If the VIN is original to the body, then this is a 1958 DJ-3A rather than a 1940s CJ-2A. Not that it really matters, as there’s not much here (except for a good VIN plate).
‘Hello, I am selling a rusty 1940s vintage willys.. Either complete or just selling some parts.. Overall its pretty rusted/shot however It does have the orignal rear end as well as many other parts.. I also have 8 Orignal wheels that are also for sale or that will just go with the jeep as well as many other parts.”
