Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (01/22/2015) Setup for ice cream.
“1974 mail jeep set up for mobile ice cream biz. Plays music, has freezer and set up to run off of battery to keep product frozen while driving. Body is in good condition, no noticeable dents and very little rust. Brakes need a little work that we haven’t got around to fixing but runs and drives great besides the brakes. Still dive able though.”

“1971 Jeep DJ-5 2WD w/ locking diff, right hand drive, inline 6 cylinder, automatic transmission.
Jeep runs good and is in good shape but reverse is out in transmission (rebuild kit est. $240+ labor).
This jeep has good paint and interior, needs a little TLC to finish. Fits in most toy haulers would be fun at the beach to use to and from campground and a cruiser around town.

“For Sale is my awesome 1977 Jeep DJ-5. I hate to sell it, but I dont drive it enough to justify keeping it anymore. These jeeps are getting really hard to find. They have a cool hard top, sliding doors, and swing out rear door. This one is even more rare because it has the best engine combo that was available for these jeeps: Legendary AMC 232 In-Line 6 cylinder engine and the 727 torqueflight automatic transmission. Engine runs great and transmission shifts smooth. Even the “fun” features work (wipers, horn, lights, etc.) This thing is awesome all around. 3″ Lift. New knobby tires. No rust. Ready to cruise around town.”
