This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. I have 9 mail jeeps djs late 70s-1980s non currently run. I have 2 that are pretty much complete 800$ each the rest are parts or will sell rolling chassis.

Has the fiberglass frontend.
“1976 Jeep DJ-5 postal jeep. Titled as an AM General. Fiberglass body, clean frame. 2.5L GM engine, auto transmissuon, RH drive, seats 2. 2 sliding doors and one rear door. Runs great, nice little jeep.”

That 2A body has seen some mods. It appears to have full floaters in the rear.

(03/12/2020) This custom 2WD creation is currently was being advertised as a 1949 jeep, but not anymore. The axles appear to be from a DJ-5B circa 1972. The centered pumpkin in the rear should help verify this era of rear axle. The body is a reproduction body. The frame could be something from 1962, hence the title.

UPDATE: Price dropped to $1650
(04/25/2020) The DJ-5 has the rear outboard springs. It may have a posi-traction rear. Given much fo the frame is boxed, this could be a good project frame.

“This is a like- new never installed Jeep CJ 3B tub and used DJ chassis.
The firewall is recessed to allow for a V-8 or different configuration than stock.
The tub and hood are made from galvanized material. The spot welds were covered to avoid oxidation.
The grille is an original one. I have no fenders or other parts.
The chassis is a Jeep DJ or 2 WD one, that is in very good condition, and is included.
Local delivery is negotiable.”

Listed as a 1949, this 2WD jeep is probably a DJ-5 with a CJ-3A body on it.

Terry pointed out that the larger parking lights suggest this is more like a 1969. Per Colin, the “V4” engine is probably just a typo, as the V and F are near each other.
Here’s a really rare DJ-6 project at a good price.
“This is a very rare 2wd Jeep that has the original Hurricane V4 Engine. The starter is missing and it needs some wiring work done but the engine is not locked and should run. I was planning on slamming it to make it a one of a kind! Title has been lost but would not be hard to get one”

Something a little different.
“Well… Its kind of a Jeep stew. A little postal, a little Commando, a little Willys CJ5 and kind of a Jeep Rod. It started off as a DJ5A postal dispatcher. Still has the original drivetrain. Chevy II 135cu 4cyl and powerglide transmission. Still right hand drive. Manual drum brakes. Runs good but would be better with a SBC which would bolt right in.”
