This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (05/18/2013) This appears to have a push bumper on front.
“I’ve decided to sell my restored 1963 FC170 Jeep Wrecker, the restoration was done in 2009 the replacement cab came from Arizona and the box was completely rebuilt by myself, all of the drive train is in great working order It has a 6 cylinder engine, 3 speed transmission, Dana 44 front and rear differentials the wrecker was built by Jack Heil company out of Chicago Il. Feel free to contact if you need more information.”

(07/24/2014) Looks like a good rig that needs a few items finished.
“1958 Jeep Forward Control (FC150). Looks good, see pictures. Starts, Runs, Drives, Stops. Has been displayed at Car Shows. A good candidate for full Restoration. Wrecker Crane can be removed as one piece. Have Tailgate. New Battery. Original 4 Cylinder Engine. Driveable as-is, but could use work on following items: Seats, Door Locks, Window Wipers and possibly other items. I am not a mechanic.”

“FOR SALE 1960 WILLYS JEEP 4X4 RAN GOOD WHEN WE STARTED TO RESTORE RAN OUT OF TIME AND PATIENCE. ORIGINAL CONDITION, BARN FIND SOME RUST IN FLOOR PANS AND ABOVE WINDSHIELD. TRUCK IS COMPLETE JUST NEEDS RESTORED.”

UPDATE: Ted’s got an updates on Bill’s FC truck collection. Bill will sell the collection for $4500. Both Ted and Chris have seen the collection and report below in the comments. Sounds like a good deal.

(08/13/2014) Neither runs. The ad was posted in California, but the jeeps are in Seeley Lake, MT.
“2– F170 jeep forward control pickups sold as a pair. One is a parts rig the other is complete. both are 1959 F170 SOLD AS IS– the chassis with the engine was kept covered. Have never tried to start either engine, they both turn over. Usual rust on the bodies. $2000.00 OBO”
