UPDATE:  **SOLD**  Last listed at $4200.

(08/28/2012) The seller doesn’t seem to know whether this was a real Fire Truck or not, but probably wouldn’t be hard to verify.

“I think it belonged to the fire dept. from 1975 untill 2006 then it was sold to a privet owner 2006 untill 2012 This jeep runs good but the motor has a pecking noise the jeep comes with a spare replacement motor this jeep is very solid one small rust spot on drivers side front fender.”

More Border Patrol Jeep Images in a Mechanix Magazine Article

• CATEGORIES: Features, Fire/Police/Industry Vehicles, Magazine • TAGS: This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

These photographs of Border Jeeps come from a Septmeber 1949 article in Mechanix Magazine.  You can read the entire article here.

In this picture you can clearly see this is a CJ-2A.  It didn’t take  them long to customize the bumper.

The first image below appears to show a MB.    I’m a little surprised it doesn’t have a top for shade like the other border jeeps I’ve seen.  The second picture is likely a CJ-2A based on the bas tank inlet.

I ran across Milk River’s website, located in Alberta, Canada.  To help support the Milk River Fire Department, they have printed t-shirts with an illustration of the department’s 1947 CJ-2A Fire Jeep.  You can email them here for more information:  http://milkriver.ca/government/town-departments/emergency-services/47-willys-t-shirts-for-sale/sendto_form

Work’N Woody FC-150 Sprint Car Pusher

• CATEGORIES: Builds, FC150-FC170-M677, Features, Fire/Police/Industry Vehicles, Unusual This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

I ran across this unusually modified FC named Work’N Woody.  According to this website, it’s a modified FC that has been a fixture at race tracks since 1978.  It even has its own website.  You can see a gallery of pictures here.  Pretty cool!  It must be a great place to watch a race.

Here are a couple pictures from the website:

1958 FC-170 Kalamazoo, MI **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: Fire/Police/Industry Vehicles • TAGS: , This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3800.

This looks in solid shape.  It would be worth more with a standard paint job.

“1958 Jeep Willys FC170 4×4. Four wheel drive, 9 1/2 bed, runs great, drives great (not fast), clean title and street legal!  (Sorry this is not a military vehicle)”

Fire Jeep Truck in Canton, OH **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: Features, Fire/Police/Industry Vehicles, Willys Trucks • TAGS: , This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE:  **SOLD**  Was priced at $8000.

This is actually one of two trucks.   Both sold quickly.

“1955 Willys fire truck. A rare piece indeed. It was left alone in a storage unit since 1986. It has 3100 miles on it. The body and interior are really nice on it. With some mechanical work this baby will the hit of the parade! Siren and light work! Complete with hoses, ladder, ax and even the lantern. It does run and I have moved it forwards and back. And put it in 4×4. I tuned it up, changed the oil, flushed the gas tank. However, these are the things I know it needs: has no brakes, radiator, water pump, PTO universals.”

Look Park Police’s DJ-3A

• CATEGORIES: Builds, DJ-3A, Features, Fire/Police/Industry Vehicles • TAGS: , This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

Buz spotted this nice DJ-3A used by the Look Park Police in Florence, MA, from 1957 to 1986.

You can see more images of it here:  http://policecarwebsite.net/yet/rwcar4s/lookpark.html

This DJ-3A was also mentioned in a cj2apage forum as well.

This picture was taken early this year by CTROADDOG and posted to FLICKR.
