This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (04/19/2013) It’s not all GPW, but looks like a solid parade vehicle.
“I have a 1942 ford gpw for sale runs and drives has new brakes and wheel cylinders also new wheel bearings . drive traine is a gpw block with willy’s head trans is a t90 with a overdrive body is ford with willys winsheild frame and seats also has willys gas tank. engine block has out side crack. it doesnt effect engine runs good.”

The tub is a replica.
“1944 Ford GPW WWII jeep, Body tub is a new aftermarket that has just sat around for years, and was never used to build a jeep. It is a replica MB body tub, if you notice the push button holes for the locker boxes have not even been drilled out yet. As stated, frame is an original WWII GPW Ford on wheels. I will sell all for $1200 or body can be boought separate for $800 and frame on wheels can be boought for $450. Frame has all brand new brakes on front end and rear end and the drums have been turned. Jeep was never built.”

“This is a May of 1945 GPW Ford Built Jeep. Has original Data plate that matches frame GPW 2589**. It is a major project but these are about the easiest thing out there to restore. Has a later F head willys motor currently. Does have original tow bar on front and lots of original “f” marked parts. I also have the correct air filter, correct radiator, correct voltage regulator. Has correct f marked front seats and correct gas tank still in it. Original dash with gauges. Rust in front floors. No title, but does have old black plate and years worth of old registrations that match the numbers in the glove box. Again it has rust, body need lots of work. The other jeep in the background is not for sale!”

“GPW jeep , year unknown and parts jeep also unknown. The GPW would run, has radiator missing , body pretty good shape, no windshield and no title–the parts jeep is a real oddball with a 3B tub but a 2A grill and hood and a flat head engine that is not stuck, no windshield or fenders or transmission and also no title. I have a canvas top with doors that goes with one of them but needs some repair but is useable. GPW 1200.00 or BO– Parts jeep 500.00 or BO. Make an offer on both or separate. Also have 1976 DJ5 with left hand drive that has the starter out of it and no title. Motivated seller.”

“This is a 1945 ford jeep military it was built on may 10 1945 sn. gpw268933 it is currently reg. it been in the family sent it was bought army surplus by my father it has the pyrene fire exsting,. grease gun ,lube chart, tire pump,first aid kit, original gas can date may 1945 wheeling,new glass in the windsheild, charging sytem is 6 volt and work perfect the running gear is original and drive great it also has a warn overdirve and front hubs brake are new master cylinder new wheel cylinder new has all the correct light and blackout lights new top new seats the back of the seats are marked with a F for ford so are most of the bolts the footman loop are correct for a ford madel has the radio junction box uder the pass seat and combat rims you will have to arrange shipping Alan 707 485 5439”
