About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

I ran out of time.
Had it running once then tore it apart and never went back.
E-mail with questions
Have Willy’s engine and T-84 Tranny to go with it.”
(01/02/2011) This appears to have an unusual bar on the passenger side spanning across the rear wheel well.
“I have the title in hand, with current registered black plates.
This is a nice old jeep. It has a Willys MB hood. This was one of the first Ford keeps made. The frame serial number is GPW 10792* (yes it is a star, not a missing number) The body does not have a serial number, which is correct for the early 42 jeeps. The motor serial is 171304, so it isn’t the original motor but it is still the correct L134
It has a Volvo gas tank behind the seats in the cargo area. The steering column and seats are vw.
The body and undercarriage are solid.
I had the starter rebuilt last year.
Has locking/non-locking front axle so it can be towed. Also has light hookup like a trailer for towing.
Has a black top and doors that come with it.
The bad- I had ezlube change the oil and 2 months later, I found out the oil had been leaking out of the drain plug. I found out when the motor stopped running. This just happened in mid August. Prior to this, I had put a new battery in it and used it daily for a 12 mile commute. Tranny and 4wd work great.”
“1943 gpw chassis #155805
ACM (?) body #197030
post war engine casting #641087- needs rebuild
body in fair-good condition with some rust out at tank well and shovel area and a couple spots on floor and a spot on pass side near step. has holes for first aid kit on dash and welded up holes on pass side where radio filter would have been. hood has lube chart holes and grease gun holder holes. typical extra holes here and there. has glovebox door and tool box lids.
I have done some repairs to the frame before dropping the body back on.
includes- engine with head, pistons, camshaft, crank, valves, oil pump, distributor, carb, oil filter, waterpump, fan, ford transmission, ford transfercase, drive shafts, steering column, headlights with buckets and grill running lights, gas tank and radiator and other items shown in pics.
NEW items include- rear bumper, steering wheel, gas tank well, windshield pivot arms, 1 brake/1 clutch pedals, glovebox plaque set, floor ring set. axe head pocket, dash lamp housings, 1 front bumper bracket and several spring pivot and shackle mounts already installed.
no seats or side handles or tail lights. just what is seen in pictures. engine stand and moving dolly not included.”
The price seems a bit high for a project, but the story sounds intriguing.
