About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
NOS 1940s Willys Jeep Hood – Jeepster Wagon Pickup Truck – $80 Stoughton, MA
Very straight looking early Flat Grill Hood.
Information from seller:
Up for sale is a factory hood from an old Willys Jeep.
I believe this is a 1947 1948 1949 type hood used on Willys VJ Jeepster models, and likely Wagon & Pickup .
This has been in storage for 60+ years from an old Jeep dealership.
It has surface rust all over, but no rot. I don’t believe this was ever actually mounted to a vehicle. This was in storage for a long time (not weather tight). This could be media or soda blasted and cleaned up.
It has holes in the middle for chrome trim (not included).
1947 – 1950 Flat Front Willys Fenders$350 Scappoose, OR
Parts is parts, might be a much better start then what you have, never know!
Information from seller:
I have a front right and left fender for a Willy’s Jeepster, wagon or pick-up years 1947-1950. Both fenders are in very good condition straight and rust free. Possibly original paint that is flaking off.
This 1948 Willys Jeepster Roadster presents a wonderful opportunity for a classic car enthusiast or collector. Finished in a timeless white exterior with a beige interior, this Jeepster has been in storage for a few years, and is currently not running, it could use a well-trained hand to bring it back to its original glory, the potential for an easy restoration is clear, making it an exciting project for those passionate about vintage automobiles.
The Jeepster has a storied history, first introduced by Willys-Overland in 1948 as a crossover vehicle that blended the ruggedness of a Jeep with the refinement of a roadster. A unique combination of off-road capability and on-road comfort, the Jeepster was designed to appeal to buyers looking for a stylish, versatile vehicle that could handle both leisurely drives and light off-road adventures. Produced in limited numbers, the Jeepster became an instant classic, showcasing a design ahead of its time, with its curvaceous lines, wide stance, and convertible top.
This 1948 Willys Jeepster is a rare find and an ideal candidate for someone with the skill and vision to restore it to its full potential. Its unique blend of history, rugged charm, and vintage style makes it a standout in any collection.
Sold at no reserve, this Jeepster is waiting for the right enthusiast to bring it back to its glory, preserving its place in automotive history.
This 1949 Willys Jeepster is offered with no reserve! The Jeepster was built from 1948-1950 by Willys with the intention of bridging the gap between the utilitarian Jeep and the more conventional automotive market. Industrial designer Brooks Stevens styled a line of postwar vehicles for Willys, including the Jeepster – a two-door open car that he envisioned as a sports car for veterans of World War II. This Jeepster is powered by the well-proven 134.2 cu in (2.2 L) straight-4 “Go Devil” engine and a column-shifted three speed manual transmission which make it a lot of fun to drive.
This Jeepster was used seasonally on Cape Cod for years, until being put into indoor storage about a decade ago due to the previous owner’s declining health. It has recently been thoroughly serviced to bring it back to driving condition. Work completed includes flushing fuel system, oil change, new points, new plugs, new battery, new alternator, new whitewall tires, new water pump, new brake master cylinder and replacing all brake wheel cylinders and shoes, machining the drums.
Cosmetically it shows plenty of signs of its 76 years which give it a great patina and character but it is incredibly solid and is a fantastic driver. This Jeepster is ready for a new owner to take it to the next level or just enjoy it as-is – the choice is yours!
These are pretty neat looking rigs! Looks to have some rust issues, needs some fine tuning and the sort but that’s fully disclosed.
Information from seller:
1970 Jeepster Commando. Bought in 2019, ran well for 5 years but needs some work now. Needs new battery and probably new carburetor. For someone who knows how to work on Jeeps, it will probably be an easy fix, I just don’t have the time to get it done. Has been an awesome jeep for cruising around town….hate to part with her.
Lot’s of time to still enjoy this one for the season. Reads to have some decent work done to it.
