This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Has been stored under shed for last several years. Has new motor, new paint, new wiring harness, new seats, new brakes. Need a top, I have the framework for it, just no canvas. It’s a 3 on the 3 shifter. Very rare and hard to find vehicle, only 4066 were made. They range from $8,000 to $50,000 depending on condition. To be finished it needs bumpers, top canvas, better tires and rims, more wiring (have it just not installed) radio and antenna, and undercoating.”

“1948 Willys-Overland VJ2 Jeepster. First year production for the Jeepster, which was Willys attempt to get into the civilian car market after the war. 72,000 miles on odometer. Low miles on professionally rebuilt 4 cylinder. 3 speed manual transmission (w/overdrive) on column. Coker white wall radials. Older repaint, but shines nice! After-market seat belts installed. Temp gauge does not work and there small tear/repair on left side rear roof corner…but face it, this is a sunny day car! Rear window is hazy. Have complete set of 4 side curtains in nice shape, stored in pocket on rear seat. This is not a show car, but a fun weekend driver. Take the kids for ice cream and turn heads along the way. More pix available upon request. $10,000.00.”

A gun on a Jeepster?
“For sale is a 1950 Willys Jeepster. Professionally repainted approximately five years ago for military style theme. No body rust. Ford V6 with 4-speed manual. Runs and drives just fine, selling to free up space. Front seats were redone as well during body restoration. As seen, mostly original parts throughout.
Comes with real-size M2 Browning machine gun model for the rear gun mount. Also included is the rear seat and the frame for the convertible top. Always stored indoors.”
UPDATE: Status Unknown. Was $15,000.
