UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $10,500.
It looks like a mix of civilian and M-38 parts.
“1952 Willys M38, Restored, no rust, runs great, only 8k miles.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3800.
This still runs and drives. It has the wrong tailgate though and few minor mods.
“NO FRILLS, JUST A NICE REALIABLE VEHICLE USED FOR HUNTING EVERY YEAR. HAS WATERPROOF IGNITION,EXTRA WHEELS,JEEP STAMPED ON TAILGATE. WASN’T LICENSED UNTIL 52OR53 BY CO NAT GUARD”
This looks like a solid combo.
“Once retired from service with the military, this M38 Willys was used by a city in Colorado as a spray vehicle until purchased by a civilian here in Kansas and partially restored. Jeep runs and drives very well. All lights work, including trailer lights. Jeep has good tires, as well as trailer; one tire is new. Includes a new vinyl top and doors. Must be purchased as a set.”
UPDATE: Was “Make offer”
The CJ-5/M-38A1 and the red M-38 have been sold. Only the blue M-38 is left.
(09/05/2012) “Has a small block Ford engine. Needs lot’s of work Hasn’t been on road since the eightys. Doen’t run selling as is. $700. Will take your junk cars in trade.”

“ld army jeep runs good. Call Dwayne 302-228-5763”
UPDATE: Still Available
(07/26/2012) I’m gonna guess that this is a M-38 body and front clip on a CJ-2A frame and possibly drive train. The gas inlet looks more civilian than military though. The tailgate is civilian, too.

“1950 M38 Willys Jeep, Hard top, straight 4 cylinder, 24 volt system. 90-95% original, good mechanical shape, needs body work. Heater already added to jeep.”
Frank found himself a rare M-38CDN and offered to share some photos.
He writes, “Just wanted to let you know that after looking for one of these since 1979/80, I finally aquired an m-38. a candian one at that! I’m quite excited about that, because only 2135 were ever built between feb and nov ’52. I found it on kijiji.ca in Fort st. john,BC. that’s 700km (460 mi.) from my place in Edmonton. I Drove out with my trailer to look at it fully prepared to return empty if the jeep was a rust bucket. It would have been a 1000 mi trip for nothing. Needless to say, it was not a wasted trip. I’s nearly all there, but the data plates and gauges got sand blasted by a previous owner; not the guy i bought it from. It’s 24 volt still and has almost all the stuff needed for fording. I’m sending a few shots of the trip and the jeep at home. I’ll keep you up to date on the resto. I’m looking to make it as stock as possible but also use it as a driver.”
UPDATE: Sold. Was listed at $8000.
This looks like a solid M-38. The title is TN, but I believe Winchester is in KY.
“Nice running M38 jeep, 1952 model with Tennessee title, new tires, new batteries and recently rebuilt engine. No trades”
