This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This has a M-38 windshield and I think it has a glove box on the dash, too, so I think it is a M-38 rather than the CJ-3A indicated by the seller. Or, it is a mix of parts.
“66K Miles. Decent condition. Comes with Tow Bar & Soft Top. Less than 500 miles traveled in last 10 years. Runs great; but, needs brake work.”

“I HAVE THIS 1952 M38 MILITARY JEEP FOR SALE. IT HAS THE ORIGINAL ALUMINUM WINTER TOP WITH DATA PLATE, ORIGINAL MC ENGINE, RADIATOR. BRAKES DO NOT WORK. THE ENGINE RUNS WITH NO SMOKE BUT HAS A RATTLE FROM THE TAPPETS. I DO HAVE A CLEAR TITLE FOR THIS JEEP. I CAN SEND MORE PICTURES UPON REQUEST.”
The windshield is CJ-2A, but much of the rest looks M-38 to me.
“I have some willys flat fender parts front clip, both seat frames, gas tank, roll bar, has 2 front dana 27 axles and 1 dana 44 rear axle. No motor no tranny no transfer case. The windshield frame is rusted out around the windows and in pretty rough shape. Lots of misc. parts, steering colums, spring packs. Also I have what i think is a original through the floor starter for the L134 thats in good shape i can send that pic upon request. (09/26/2011) This has a M-38 body, strangely sunken headlights (almost m38a1ish), and a CJ-2A windshield.
“Jeep is in good shape, six cylinder hurricane engine, body in good shape, runs but has no brakes (needs fluid) Some surface rust that can be removed by light sandblasting. Engine runs good. ”

(09/23/2011) This has some updates. The front bumper is .. unusual.
“1950 Willys jeep, flat fender. BuickV6, The following is all NEW parts- Overdrive, 11inch front brakes, new rear and front drums,shoes etc, master cylinder. New timing cover and oil pump(this was done because the early Buick V6 was built with real sloppy tolerances, which resulted in low oil pressure) All New tune up parts. Runs Great. The number on the side suggests this might have been raced or entered in PNW events at some point. The windshield sort of looks CJ-3Bish, but the tubing arms looking CJ-2Aish to me.

Has a four cylinder flat head jeep engine that smokes slightly. Also comes with a spare engine (cracked block) that has a lot of good parts. Has a fully enclosed canvas top. This would make a great starter jeep for someone looking to restore a military jeep back to it’s original condition. Cash money only, no trades!”
