About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
If it runs as well as advertised and the rust is light, this might not be a bad price.

“This is a Willys Jeep project. It has been in the family for a long time and use to be a fun off roading jeep. It has since been stripped down and the ford 289 engine that was in it has been rebuilt.”
(05/05/2008) My favorite line in this is that the seller has checked ebay and therefore knows that these aren’t just old jeeps, but doesn’t know enough to know what models they are. So, the seller claims to know what they’ve got while at the same time claiming that they don’t really know what they’ve got. Ouch!
“I have two Jeeps, either M38s or CJ2s (sorry, I’m not a Jeep expert). I do know they are the original 1940s models and one had a PTO. I’ve had one person say they are M38s and another say they are early civilian CJ2s, but ??? Either way, they are hard-to-find. One is complete incl. engine, the other is minus the engine, but the rest of the drivetrain appears complete. Both need a fair amount of work if the buyer wants to restore them to original, but you could probably get a running jeep in a full weekend of work, maybe less. There is enough here to get one complete, running jeep and have a fair boneyard left over. One body is poor to fair, one is fair. I’ve checked eBay, etc., and know that these are not just “old jeeps,” so please, no low-ball offers. I’m asking $2500.00 for everything.”
This looks like a pretty nice M-38 with good accessories for the price.
