About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

I love this funky jeep. Looks to have started life as a CJ-5 or M-38A1. Then, someone with a welder and torch got a hold of it. Just bring it back to life and keep as is. It’s a great conversation piece of nothing else.
“I have for sale a jeep that I have used at my hunting lease. It is a tough vehicle that is entirely metal. It has both high and low 4 wheel drive and a hoist on the back. It has some slop in the transmission that can be fixed with adjustment of the yoke in the three speed on the floor. It has a Ford Falcon engine. It has been sitting in my barn but it was running when I drove there. Tires are good and the fuel tank is a new tank that I have in the rear cargo area. I replaced the carburetor a few years back and runs fine. Will make a great jeep for a hunting lease or just to drive around a ranch. There is no title and I don’t know what year model or make it is! I am told that this is a form military jeep but I don’t know what era it is from.”
Seller has never washed it. Great old converted fire department jeep.
“Hi, up for auction is my 1952 M38A1 Willys. The Willys has seen a very colorful life, starting with its tour of duty during the Korean War era to its rebirth as a rim fire Willys Jeep, putting out rim fires along the Northern Sierras in the Tahoe National Forest. Bumps and bruises tell the story of the life of this non-stop built to do service, Willys. All of the Military accessories are still on the Willys and intact.
I’ve owned this Willys for several years and have had a blast driving the Willys on and off road, mostly off road. The Willys has never let me down. Fresh tuneup, fresh rebuilt carb, This Willys is turn key and ready to go. I’ve never washed it, the Willys has earned the dirt and grime that this workhorse wears! Below is a bit of history in regards to the legacy of the Willys M38A1….Enjoy!”

Seller erroneously describes the M-38A1 as an MB and the cj body as a 1942.
“1942 Willy’s jeep body flat fenders hood windshield seats fuel tank grille and frame. Have title and currently registered.
1953 mb runs and drives no paperwork.
Extra windshield 2 roll bars.
Package deal $2500 obo.”
The steering has been converted to a saginaw box. It’s mounted pretty high on the frame. A good picture from the front ought to give more info. Otherwise, it looks like a solid jeep.
“Good complete jeep for restoration back to military (several hundred dollars of parts included) or just fun CJ-5 type driver. Clean title. The jeep starts, runs and stops. Five brand new American made military non-directional tires on reconditioned rims (2 combat, 2 regular jeep). The engine has good even compression (taken 7/2013). See photo of parts included at purchase price. Carburetor needs to be replaced or rebuilt. No significant rust in the tub – good solid steel tub. Engine: Hurricane134 F head with T-90 transmission. Jeep can be seen on weekends with apt. in Dillon, MT. Continue reading →
This looks more like a standard M-38A1 with a rifle added. It’s missing the spare tire just off the cowl and the correct windshield. See a more original one here: http://www.m38a1.com/Models/models_106.htm
