About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
For $1100 you can get four combat rims added tot he deal.
“This is a mid 1943 Willys MB WW2 Jeep with frame tag #202900. Has some red paint over the original olive drab green. It may be possible to find hood numbers. I bought this for a restoration have too many projects. This jeep needs a lot of work but is a great project for restoration. The previous owner passed away but his son said it ran. Engine turns freely. I’ve soaked the pistons with marvel mystery oil. I have not tried to start it. This one has most of the original wiring and a lot of original underhood items that are usually missing. Has postwar flathead engine. No data plates and no title. Can provide a bill of sale. The back half of this jeep has been modified and i will throw in the back section of my parts tub for free. Price reduced to 900; will throw in 4 combat rims for 1100. Willing to consider partial trade for a Bantam, WW2, or Korean war era ¼ ton trailer.”
The 3B looks rough. I can’t tell much about the MB.

“1941 willys mb slat grille. this is a very early jeep. according to the gee 503 dot com. some say it is a first or second day production.
I will list specifics that this jeep has. it has a running willys engine. with a mb 111471 that is the number on the water pump housing on the jeep engine. which consequently is the vin number. no dash plate with number or number on the frame.
this engine runs and purrs like a kitten. I base all my information of the g503 where this is a possible us replacement army engine out of the 50s but it is NOT the correct engine.
Some awesome pieces are included in the sale. Slat grille radiator (which may have a leak in the middle) Gas gauge. previous owner said it worked when the tank was full. but I doubt it. don’ tknow. air filter is early as well. there a slat air deflectors on the side of the fenders. and the big one on bottom of the hood. engine smokes a little when it is first fired up. but the jeep drives starts stops. all three gears work”
“I have a 1945 willy’s jeep to get rid of. It ran when it was parked 8 years ago, it was only used for plowing snow. It needs a body, the motor still turns over the trans. the front and rear end still are ok, it needs brake lines. 300oo is firm 715-219-0949 Tom call if interested”
The parts are in good shape. I wonder if the tub is new.

A woman named Deedee contacted me on Facebook saying she was interested in helping sell this MB. It is her boyfriend’s jeep. He inherited it from his grandfather, but it has sat for years. It’s located in Northern, California (close to Hopland I think). The serial number is #MB212201. I have asked for more information (does it run, how is the body) and pics. If you’d like to contact her directly, you can reach Deedee at ddwiley73 @ gmail.com.
A divorce forces this sale, but the seller takes the time to note that there is a high mileage wife on the market now.
“1945 Willys MB. This is pretty much a new build on a 1945 frame and wheels. I bought it as a beautiful looking civilian rebuild (see the picture in glossy red). The prior owner did most of the mechanical rebuild. I “remilitarized” it and replaced several mechanical components he didn’t. The engine is a rebuilt unit (I think it’s a 2A, it has ribs on the head). The T84 transmission and transfer case are rebuilt (with no leakage). It has an overdrive. I don’t know if the overdrive is a rebuilt unit or new (it looks new, does Warn still make them?). Clutch components are all new. The brake system is new from backing plates to master cylinder. Has locking front hubs. The steel is new from bumper to bumperetts: Body, bumper, gussets, windshield frame, seat frames, fuel tank and bumperetts, new springs and shackles. The underside, floor and rear bed have a rhino coat type finish (I don’t know the brand) it will never rust. The wiring harness is almost all correct cloth covered wires, the lights all work, the tail lights are both the type with a brake light for safety. I replaced the water pump and starter last week, battery, fuel pump and a professionally rebuilt carburetor before that (the choke, hand throttle and idle speed combination are a bit touchy while warming up). All 5 tires have minimal wear and look brand new. I replaced the steering components from box (professionally rebuilt) to button. I replaced all the military parts; paint (there is an epoxy coat under it applied by the prior owner, again it will never rust), windshield wipers, pioneer tools & straps, safety straps, seat cushions, crash pads, top, top bows and hardware, safety chains (a detail almost always missing on a rebuild), exhaust system, shocks, spare tire foot and fire extinguisher bracket. The fire extinguisher and tire pump are originals. The M48 dash machine gun mount and pintle are new units, I made the cradle. The Browning model 1919 30 cal. machine gun and carbine are resin copies (Ebay censers, they never did and never can be made to fire!!!!!!!). You can not fit an M1 rifle with an M48 mount, the right side windshield clamp doesn’t fit very well. My MA tile says 65,540 miles when purchased (I presume that was the actual milage before the speedo was replaced by prior owner). My divorce expenses force me to sell the Willys (anyone want a cute, short, very aggressive, high mileage wife ?). I can not provide a warrantee (Jeep or wife). $500 deposit via paypal within 24 hours of winning bid. Final payment by bank check (cleared) prior to going on trailer, or cash at pick up. I can help arrange shipping. The Jeep can be seen any time in Lexington MA.”
“1943 Willys MB # 206032 production date 01/24/43orig frame tag and data plates present and in great shape This Is A VERY VERY nice early 43 mb, This jeep was restored in 2003, from the drivetrain up. the engine number is MB 494743 this is from a 45 mb, t84 trans, correct oil bath system . converted to 12 volt system. Combat rims , Beachwood canvas, everything works as it should , engine starts right up every time no smoke , trans/clutch shifts as it should , 4×4 system works as it should brakes work fine, suspension also fine, to the best of my knowledge tub is orig, and in very good shape, hat channels look great – looks to have had some minor rust repair in the rear corners of the tub , nothing major, all lights/horn/blackout lights work fine . all gauges/speed work as they should – most seem tp be original I have owned this jeep for almost 10 years have only put about 300 miles on it in that period , mostly parades, before I owned it it lived in northern California. it has just been fully serviced – all fluids changed, new carb, battery , RUNS FANTISTIC !! LOOKS FANTASIC!!always garaged keep also have a nice 42 mbt trailer avail to the winning bidder for an extra cost if intrrested. Again this is a really really nice original jeep that has been well talen care of the past 69 years – the only thing it needs is a new owner!!always another project to finish”
