“1944 Jeep Willys Engine not running and no title ”
In no particular order:
UPDATE: This may be an M-201 (at the very least it has some M-201 parts). Thanks to Gaston for pointing it out.
John shared this auction for an MB rebuilt in Europe, along with a trailer.
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1944-willys-mb-4
“This Willys MB is said to have been refurbished in Europe and was imported to the United States before it was purchased by the current owner in 2017. The truck is finished in olive drab green with US Army–style graphics, and power comes from a 134ci “Go-Devil” flathead inline-four paired with a three-speed manual gearbox and a dual-range transfer case. Equipment includes 16″ steel wheels, military tires, a rear-mounted spare, turn signals, a folding windshield, a tan soft top, a rear pintle hitch, pioneer tools, a jerrycan, seats with tan canvas cushions, a dash-mounted rifle holder, and radio equipment. The accompanying single-axle utility trailer is equipped with taillights, a canvas top panel, and troop-style seating with tan cushions. This Willys MB and trailer are now offered by the seller on behalf of the current owner with canvas doors and side panels, an inoperable rifle, and Arizona titles for both the Willys and the trailer.”
TJ shared this MB chassis with a few mods.

The ad states this has combat rims, but they don’t appear in the pics.

“I believe this is a 1943 Willy’s mb or gpw not shure. It was a working project but i found another hobby and ran out of funds. So I’m selling as is, has a new set of tires and has been sitting for about 3 years. Has all the seats that need upholstery. The engine runs but fuel tank has a leak , the clutch needs adjusting and never got to it. I put new gages and rewired electrical, like I said it’s a working project, the frame has a serial number 50675 stamped on it . I have no title for this vehicle, so I’m selling as salvage. I also have extras that will go with the sale , 2 gal. Military green paint new, also have another extra engine like the one on the photo placed on an engine mount see photo, also the original radiator and a set of 5 rims for that type of vehicle, and lots of other parts. All go with this sale. I am retired and and will be moveing to a smaller home cant take everything with me so selling all as is.”
UPDATE: price dropped to $10,920.
(09/30/2024) Listed as a 1941, this lacks the correct grill, but appears to have an MB frame. It also appears to have GPW tool lids. There is no glove box. This might be a compilation of parts? Note that the hubs are stamped “Allstate” and likely are rebranded Husky hubs. Also, the tires are branded “Allstate”.

This is a project of some type. The body looks to be a replacement body, so hard to tell if this has a WWII or CJ chassis/
