Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Roberto spotted this model for sale from the Czech Republic. It’s advertised as a CJ-3B/M-606 model, but I don’t see much M-606 elements here. It costs 39.00 Euro (Approx $43.00)

How many of these gold plated CJ-5 models did Kaiser Jeep make?
“This is a hard to find piece, this was only given to plant retirees in the 1950’s. This jeep is in amazing condition. It still has the 24kt. tag under the hood and the paper telling how to care for the gold plated jeep. I have seen a few of these jeeps but never with the original label and paper. Nothing broke or missing, someone engraved some numbers on the underside. *Measures 5 1/2″ L x 2 3/4 W x 3″ T at windshield. Weighs 1 pd. 4 oz.”

These three jeep models are sold by the same seller. I particularly like the Bushwacker jeep with its Desert Dogs, Hurricane Rims, and Military parts. Quite a mix!

The model is 16″ long. Nice piece.
“This handcrafted teak wood model is an extremely beautiful replica of a World War II Willys jeep with detailed interior and engine compartment. The front wheels move from left to right and wheels rotate.
Model has an extremely detailed interior with gauges, data plates, gas, clutch and brake pedal and has a steering wheel that rotates. The Windshield folds and the hood opens to reveal a detailed engine compartment showing the radiator with fan, top radiator hose, gas filter, battery generator,distributor, oil pump, oil fill tube, carburetor with crossover and air cleaner. It also has a detailed under carriage with exhaust and skid palate.
This hand made model measures 16″ long by 7″ wide and is 7 3/4″ tall with windshield in the raised position.
You will not find a better more detailed model than this. The picture show some dust from the model being on the shelve and I will clean it before I ship.”

This beautiful Custom-made Willys World War II Military Jeep is a masterful creation by a master wood craftsman and military Veteran.
All of the parts of this Jeep and Trailer were custom made, in all hardwoods, from a paper pattern by Toys and Joys. Then it was assembled. This labor of love adds up to about 60 hours of time.
Now you see the wonderful finished product, and you can own it!

Blaine discovered a thread at SCALE MOTORCARS about a guy named Barry who builds scale car wreck dioramas. Included in the different dioramas is a pretty neat scale model of a jeep graveyard. Barry built it based on photographs of an actual location. The setting and condition of the jeeps look a lot like the photo I shared earlier this month from Price of Wales, Papau New Guinea.

“This is an early carnival ride car. This is a small one for one little child. It is about 53 inches long by 24 inches wide. It has almost a Jeep look to it. It was made in Germany and has the manufacture logo on the front and sides. The tail lights are glass Hella (yes the same ones VW used on Busses). The side ones are replacements. There are posts on the front corner that were for a top which is long gone.
The body is wood and the floor is weak (and may be replaced way back). The paint looks worse than it is. There is a missing hubcap.
Great piece of early carnival or amusement park history and it is small enough to fit anywhere.”
