“97 inch wheelbase, custom frame, 2×4 tube .188 wall. Body and paint in excellent condition. 350 Chevy rv cam comes with another 377 inch Chevy stroker motor. Turbo 350 turbo trans with shift kit performance clutches and bands and 2000 stall converter hurst quarter stick shifter. Dana 20 transfer case with 10 gears. 1 ton corp 14 rear end narrowed 4:56 gears Detroit locker full floating hubs disc brakes. Custom front end 4:56 gears power lock disc brakes warn premium hubs. Rear end is 4 linked with air shocks. Front end has rubicon express spring over springs and remote res shocks. Power steering 4 core radiator, mastercraft seats, 3 inch lap belts. 37″ Goodyear mtr’s, 90% tread. Roy’s Old Jeeps and a New One

Roy Wililams shared some photos of his jeeps. The first two photos show the lightweight bobcat body Fred Weis built for Roy, the first lightweight racing Bobcat body Fred made.

This photo of Roy racing his jeep I found in a 1976 Sunfair booklet. The Sunfair was a 300 mile race near Yakima, Washington, that was first held in 1975. In 1976, Drivers met on Saturday, September 11, at 9am for tech inspection. At 10pm the drivers gathered to parade through downtown Yakima on their way to the course. Racing started at noon. Racers drove either 10 or 12 laps depending on their class. Based on the map below, it appears each lap was 23 miles.

Among the racers here is Don Bray. Roy and the Brays raced a few times over the years. Don’s son Ed shared these photos.

Rodney’s custom drag jeep and trailer disappeared from his Eastern Oregon property three months ago. Unique to this rig is that it is a true four wheel drive drag jeep. Since the jeep was designed mostly for drag racing, he hopes people will keep a look out for it around the west.

Whomever absconded with it has likely painted it. Here are a few specs and photos:

Sunday was a fun, but long day!

For me it started with a four hour drive from Pasco to Spanaway, where I met up with Rob Stafford and Al Schaper. Al and I planned to look over some fiberglass body molds that Rob had been storing for years. The molds were used to create fiberglass flat fender and CJ-5 body and front clip parts.

Of particular interest to me were the body molds. One of the body molds was used to create a Parkette racing body shell. The second body mold was used to create a Bobcat racing shell or in conjunction with a floor mold to create a complete body. While I have owned an Acme (I think) light racing fiberglass body and a Bobcat body (Biscuit’s body), I’ve always wanted a Parkette body. So, I was checking out that mold particularly closely.

Grille and fender molds. There are also some CJ-5 fender molds. Missing is a Bobcat and/or Parkette tailgate mold.

Vintage Willys Jeep sitting on a Chevrolet Truck 4×4 frame custom built. Vehicle is in good condition, it has always been stored inside and not exposed to weather. Although the vehicle has been sitting inside for several years, after putting fresh gas in the tank the Chevrolet 350 Engine was cranked and it does run. It will go into gear and would lot drive but the front brakes are stuck and will need some work. The vehicle does not have a battery so it will need a new one. The vehicle was put together to run in tractor pulls but never was used for that purpose. It has been in used parades and on display but cannot be driven on the highway as this vehicle has been heavily modified.
