This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1952 USMC M38A1 and M100 1/4 ton trailer also a 1952 (delivered 30th month of 1952). So both Jeep and Trailer are Korean War era. Complete with proper full canvas top, sides doors etc , tires etc. Engine rebuilt runs and drives as it should. It’s the original engine. Military tow bar included so you can take it on desert trips. It’s in good shape but not a museum vehicle. It is very collectible and dependable as a driver. The roll and side bars you see in the pictures can be unbolted and removed if desired for that completely original look and feel. This jeep has been by the seller since 1978. He bought it from a friend who had used it several years before that it was “in the service”. Owner selling because it’s been in his garage for several years and other toys have taken priority. To get it ready for new owners it’s been professionally gone through runs as expected. The fuel tank was redone professionally as were the fuel lines. Vehicle has 46000 miles on the clock. Fun to drive a unique vehicle ready for its new owner. Properly registered and insured by caring and careful owner, who has just replaced the parking brake shoes. Would consider separating trailer and truck. The trailer is very rare and its valued by the owner, and those that are on the market at $3,000 just by itself – it is historically significant.”

“I am selling my M100 trailer. I purchased this trailer in excellent restored condition about 2 years ago to go with my m38a1 (m38a1 not for sale). Recently moved and need more room in the garage. This trailer would be a great addition to a parade quality vehicle – I could never bring myself to use it around the farm for fear of damaging such a nice looking unit – I have used it lightly and can say that it tows very well. It has essentially no rust and appears all original; the break mechanism works, all the wiring (including coupling wire) is there, the lunette and support leg are in good working order, the chains are also present and functional. The spring controlled drains within the tub are both functional. I see no evidence of cutting or weld damage anywhere. Please note: the original data plates are not present; I was told when i purchased the trailer that it was a 1954 Dunbar Kapple manufacture. I have replacement plates and rivets- they have not been installed. Also note: there is no toolbox on the front of the trailer – whether this was later unit that did not have one or it was removed at some point I do not know. Third, all the wiring and lights are in place but I cannot guarantee they work in that I don’t have a coupling socket on my jeep. I am not a military trailer expert and have represented this to the best of my ability – please look at the pictures. I am well aware of what m100 trailers in far worse condition sell for – I am selling the unit for 1600$ firm – I feel like this an excellent price given the condition.”

Not towable at this time. Needs tires. Trailer has been sitting 25+ years.”

Jim’s listed this Spen trailer for sale.
“selling a very rare military type trailer, built by Henry Spen Co. in 1946. Spen made trailers and equipment for the war later this trailer was built for the public. Solid body ,no rust through. has been sandblasted and primed. I have original chains, landing leg, rear light, cloth wiring,hitch and the very rare hubcaps and both data plates. Trailer will need some minor body work and paint. Under carriage is 99% perfect. please no low ball offers. Thanks E mail for any more questions.(last pic is the military version).”

(09/17/2015) It includes a tandem trailer.
“No rust, all original, flat head 4cylinder, new winch, good tires, rhino lined inside and underneath. Runs like a sewing machine. Fresh tune up: plugs, wires,points, condenser. New intake and exhaust manifolds etc. This is a very nice very dependable jeep that won’t leave you stranded at the deer lease. It also comes with a custom dual tandem trailer to carry it. I am not interested in trades. $10k obo. ”
